''Flipnote Studio 3D'', known in Japan as and originally announced as the working title/codename, ''Flipnote Memo'', is a traditional animation, 2D animation application developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development, Nintendo EAD Tokyo and released in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS as a successor to Flipnote Studio and Flipnote Hatena. Nintendo Network
The Nintendo Network was an online service run by Nintendo that provided free online functionalities for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U systems and their compatible games. Launched in 2012, it was Nintendo's second online service after Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection; the Nintendo Network was not a component of the Nintendo Switch, which uses the subscription based Nintendo Switch Online, although Nintendo Network IDs were able to be linked to the Switch via Nintendo Accounts. A flip book, flipbook, flicker book, or kineograph is a booklet with a series of images that very gradually change from one page to the next, so that when the pages are viewed in quick succession, the images appear to animate by simulating motion or some other change. Miiverse was a social network for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U that operated from 2012 to 2017. The service was created by Nintendo System Development and Hatena, and powered by the Nintendo Network. Miiverse was integrated into many video games, and allowed players to interact and share their experiences through handwritten messages or drawings, text, screenshots, and sometimes game videos in dedicated communities. is a real-time strategy and puzzle video game series created by Shigeru Miyamoto, and published by Nintendo. The games focus on directing a horde of plant-like creatures called Pikmin to collect items by destroying obstacles, avoiding hazards, and fighting fauna that are hazardous to both the player character and the Pikmin. ''Swapnote'', known as ''Nintendo Letter Box'' in Europe and Australia, and in Japanese, is a messaging application exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS.
