Flesh And Bone (Battlestar Galactica)
The first season of the reimagined science fiction television series ''Battlestar Galactica'', was commissioned by Sci Fi in February 2004. The first episode, "33", was first broadcast in the United Kingdom on October 18, 2004, on Sky1, three months before its premiere in the United States on January 14, 2005 on Sci Fi. Sky1 had negotiated first-broadcast rights of season 1 as part of its financial backing terms. The first episode of the series received a Hugo Award and the season's 13 episodes were recognized with a Peabody Award "for pushing the limits of science fiction and making it accessible to all." The first season is a follow-up to the miniseries that first aired in December 2003. Gaius Baltar
Dr. Gaius Baltar is a fictional character in the TV series ''Battlestar Galactica'' played by James Callis, a reimagining of Lord Baltar from the 1978 ''Battlestar Galactica'' series. He is one of the show's primary characters. Personality Gaius Baltar regularly uses a well-developed acting talent to spin yarns on virtually any subject when he feels the need. He possesses a dry, cynical sense of humour but is prone to bouts of neurosis. A charismatic genius and womanizer, he is initially portrayed as a self-serving opportunist, but becomes a braver and more caring character over the course of the series, expressing regret for having been "a profoundly selfish man." Karl C. Agathon (callsign "Helo") is a fictional character on the re-imagined ''Battlestar Galactica'' TV series, portrayed by Tahmoh Penikett. Appearances Background Agathon is an Electronic Countermeasures Officer, part of a two-person Colonial Raptor crew based on the Battlestar ''Galactica'', and is paired with Sharon "Boomer" Valerii before the Cylon destruction of the Twelve Colonies.
