''Flaming Brothers'' is a 1987 Hong Kong crime action film directed by Joe Cheung. The film stars Chow Yun-fat, Alan Tang (who also produced the film), Pat Ha, and Jenny Tseng. The film was shot in Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand. The film was released theatrically in Hong Kong on 30 July 1987. Plot Alan Chan (Alan Tang) and Cheung Ho-tin (Chow Yun-fat) are orphans wandering in the streets of Macau who have sworn a pact to live as brothers. They make ends meet by stealing what they can. One day, while Tin was stealing food in a church, he is discovered by Ho Ka-hei ( Pat Ha), who encourages him not to steal, and subsequently starts to bring food to him and his friends every day. eventually, Ka-hei gets adopted and she and Tin share a tearful farewell. Alan and Tin struggle and finally succeed in becoming triad leaders. During a gang warfare, Alan and Tin kill Chiu, the underling of a major Macau triad leader Ko Lo-sei (Patrick Tse). Su Rui
Su Rui (; born 13 June 1952) is a Taiwanese singer. In 1968, Su Rui skipped class to participate in a singing competition and was selected, joining the Zero Chorus to sing Western pop songs, and began her singing career. Later, she joined the Action Choir, named Julie in English. In 1971, she graduated from high school and began to perform at the Qingquangang American Army Club (CCK) in Taichung with Yingying Huang and they became friends. In 1973, she became the first female singer in residence at the Taipei Hilton. She was recommended to perform at the Hilton Hotel in Hong Kong, singing in Hong Kong for 3 years. Stanley Tong (; born 7 April 1960) is a Hong Kong film director, producer, stunt choreographer, screenwriter, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is known for directing action-adventure films, including several with Jackie Chan. Chin Tsi-Ang (February 22, 1908 – October 15, 2007), also romanized as Qian Siying, was one of the earliest martial arts actors of Chinese cinema and its first female star. Eddy Ko Hung (; born Ho Yiu-sum (); 13 December 1937) is a Hong Kong actor and martial artist. He has appeared in over 150 film and television roles since his debut in 1969. He is perhaps best known for his roles as Chan Chung in the 1984 Hong Kong action war film '' Heroes Shed No Tears'', and Hong in the 1998 American buddy cop action film ''Lethal Weapon 4''.
