The screenplay written by Michael Wilson was based on the 1950 book ''Operation Cicero'' (original German: ''Der Fall Cicero'') by Ludwig Carl Moyzisch, Nazi commercial attaché at the German embassy in Ankara, Turkey (1943–44). James Mason plays Ulysses Diello (Cicero), the character based on Bazna. The film also stars Danielle Darrieux, Michael Rennie, Herbert Berghof and Walter Hampden. Plot In ...

Five Finger Rapids
The Five Finger Rapids, also known as the Five Fingers, are located on the Yukon River, Yukon, Canada. Four islands of composite rock divide the river into five narrow channels of which only the eastern is passable to canoes paddling upstream. History Indigenous Canadians called the Five Finger Rapids "Tthi-cho Nadezhe," or "big rocks standing up." The Five Finger Rapids were a common obstacle for gold seekers during the Klondike Gold Rush; the Yukon River was originally believed to be unnavigable above the rapids. Writer and artist Tappan Adney described them: "The opening is about one hundred feet wide, with vertical walls, through which the river drops a couple of feet, the waves rising angrily in a return curl, then dancing on in rapidly diminishing chops until lost in the swift current below. We turn our prow squarely for the middle of the cleft; a drop, a smash, a few quarts of water over the sides, and we are shot through into the fast current, without even looking back ...

FiveFingers

The footwear is meant to replicate being barefoot and has thin, flexible soles that are contoured to the shape of the human foot, including visible individual sections for the toes. The company settled a lawsuit in 2014 alleging false health claims and set aside $3.75 million to pay refunds of up to $94 to anyone who had purchased the product since March 21, 2009. Origin Invented by Robert Fliri, a design student from Vinschgau who wanted to "figure out a way to move around in nature better." Vibram FiveFingers were developed and introduced in 2005. Purpose Vibram FiveFingers were originally targeted to yacht racers to maintain grip on slippery decks without compromising the barefoot experience. Their potential use as a minimalist running shoe was suggested by ...
