Emine Erdoğan (; born 16 February 1955) is the current first lady of Turkey as the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Early and personal life Early life Emine Erdoğan was born as Cemal and Hayriye Gülbaran’s fifth child and only daughter in Üsküdar, Istanbul. Her family is originally from Siirt and is of Arabs in Turkey, Arab origin. She was educated at Istanbul Mithatpaşa Vocational Evening School for Girls. She did not graduate, however. Melahat Gürsel
Melahat Gürsel (1899 – 23 February 1974) was the First Lady of Turkey from 27 May 1960 until 28 March 1966 during the presidency of her husband Cemal Gürsel. Melahat was born in 1899. Her father was the chief engineer on the Ottoman cruiser ''Hamidiye''. In 1927, she married army officer Cemal Bey, who was introduced to her by the older brother. From this marriage, a son Özdemir was born and the couple also adopted two daughters, Hatice and Türkan. On 27 May 1960, some mid-ranked Turkish Army officers staged a military coup, and overthrew the government. Four-star general Cemal Gürsel, then Commander of the Turkish Army, was appointed head of the state by the revolutionaries without a leader. Semra Sezer (née Kürümoğlu; born August 16, 1944) was the First Lady of Turkey from May 2000 until August 2007 during the presidency of her husband Ahmet Necdet Sezer. She was born on August 16, 1944, in Yenimahalle, Ankara to the family of a bank officer, Kemal Kürümoğlu. She completed her secondary education in 1962 at the Yenimahalle High School in Ankara. She met her husband Ahmet Necdet Sezer during her student time at the Law School of Ankara University. The couple were engaged in 1962. She then left the Law School in her second year, and attended the Atatürk Teachers' School for Primary Education in Ankara to become a teacher. Halil Turgut Özal (13 October 192717 April 1993) was a Turkish politician, bureaucrat, engineer and statesman who served as the eighth president of Turkey from 1989 to 1993. Semra Özal (; born 12 January 1934) was the 8th first lady of Turkey as the spouse of the 8th President of Turkey Turgut Özal. Kenan Evren
Ahmet Kenan Evren (17 July 1917 – 9 May 2015) was a Turkish military officer and dictator who served as the seventh president of Turkey from 1980 to 1989. He assumed the post by leading the 1980 military coup. On 18 June 2014, a Turkish court sentenced him to life imprisonment and demotion of his military rank, (down to private from army general) for leading the military coup in 1980. He was found guilty of obstructing democracy by deposing the prime minister Süleyman Demirel and of abolishing the parliament, senate and the constitution. Sekine Muslu was born as the first daughter of a vine grower in Alaşehir of Manisa, then Ottoman Empire, in 1922. She had three younger sisters. She could not complete her education. Emel Korutürk (née Cimcoz; 1915 – 12 March 2013) was a Turkish painter and a former First Lady of Turkey. Early years She was born in 1915 as Emel Cimcoz, the fourth child of Salah Cimcöz and his wife Hasene Hanim. During her early childhood her father was exiled by the Allies of World War I to Malta.
