First Ladies And Gentlemen Of Mexico
The first lady of Mexico () or first gentleman of Mexico () is the informal title held by the spouse of the president of Mexico, concurrent with the president's term of office. The position has no legal foundation and was originally started as a courtesy title. However, several holders of the title have taken on ceremonial roles during the presidential tenure of their spouses and have used the position to advocate for various causes. Jesús María Tarriba is the current First Gentleman of Mexico as the husband of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. Role The first lady or first gentleman is not an elected position, carries no official duties and brings no salary. Jesús María Tarriba Unger (born 1 September 1962) is a Mexican physicist and financial risk management expert who is the First ladies and gentlemen of Mexico, First Gentleman of Mexico. He is married to the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. As the first husband of a president, Tarriba is the first First Gentleman in Mexican federal history. Tarriba worked as a quantitative analyst for Grupo Financiero Banamex, Banamex from 1994 to 1997. He later moved to Spain to work with Banco Santander where he took up different positions, the most relevant being Risk management, Director of Risk Management, a position he held from 2008 to 2016. Manuel Gómez Pedraza
Manuel Gómez Pedraza y Rodríguez (22 April 1789 – 14 May 1851) was a Mexican general who also became president of Mexico during the First Mexican Republic. He had initially won the election of 1828, which was disputed and led to riots at the capital, causing Gómez Pedraza to flee the country. He was eventually elevated to the presidency through a rebellion against president Anastasio Bustamante in 1832. José Ventura Melchor Ciriaco de Ecay-Múzquiz y Arrieta (6 April 1788 – 14 December 1844) was a Mexican soldier and politician who became the 5th President of Mexico after president Anastasio Bustamante stepped down to personally lead his armies against an 1832 insurgency known as the Plan of Veracruz. Trinidad Anastasio de Sales Ruiz Bustamante y Oseguera (; 27 July 1780 – 6 February 1853) was a Mexican physician, general, and politician who served as the 4th President of Mexico three times from 1830 to 1832, 1837 to 1839, and 1839 to 1841. He also served as the 2nd Vice President of Mexico from 1829 to 1832 under Presidents Vicente Guerrero, José María Bocanegra, himself, and Melchor Múzquiz. José María Bocanegra
José María de los Dolores Francisco Germán del Espíritu Santo Bocanegra y Villalpando (; 25 May 1787 – 23 July 1862) was a Mexican lawyer and statesman who was briefly interim president of Mexico in December 1829 during a coup attempt against president Vicente Guerrero. He previously served in various government positions, including President of the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), President of the Chamber of Deputies and as a member of the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), Chamber of Deputies for Zacatecas. Vicente Ramón Guerrero Saldaña (; baptized 10 August 1782 – 14 February 1831) was a Mexican military officer from 1810–1821 and a statesman who became the nation's second president in 1829.
