First Ramelow Cabinet
The first Ramelow cabinet was the state government of Thuringia between 2014 and 2020, sworn in on 5 December 2014 after Bodo Ramelow was elected as Minister-President by the members of the Landtag of Thuringia. It was the 7th Cabinet of Thuringia. It was formed after the 2014 Thuringian state election by The Left (LINKE), the Social Democratic Party (SPD), and Alliance 90/The Greens (GRÜNE). Excluding the Minister-President, the cabinet comprised nine ministers. Four were members of The Left, three were members of the SPD, and two were members of the Greens. The first Ramelow cabinet left office on 5 February 2020 after Thomas Kemmerich was elected Minister-President. Bodo Ramelow (27880636022)
Bodo Ramelow (; born 16 February 1956) is a German politician who has served since 4 March 2020 as Minister-President of Thuringia, an office he previously held from 2014 to 5 February 2020. He is the first Minister President (Germany), head of a German state government to serve non-consecutive terms in office since Eberhard Diepgen, who served twice as Governing Mayor of Berlin (1984–1989 and 1991–2001). A member of The Left (Germany), The Left, he previously chaired the party's group in the Landtag of Thuringia. On 8 October 2021, he was elected to a one-year term as President of the German Bundesrat, President of the Bundesrat. His term lasted from 1 November 2021 until 31 October 2022. Thomas Kemmerich
Thomas Karl Leonard Kemmerich (born 20 February 1965) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) who served as the Minister President of Thuringia from 5 February to 4 March 2020. With a tenure of only 28 days, he was both the shortest-serving Minister President of Thuringia and the shortest-serving head of a state government in the Federal Republic of Germany. After Reinhold Maier in Baden-Württemberg, he was the second Minister President of the FDP in German history. Life Kemmerich was born in Aachen, West Germany. He is Roman Catholic, married, and father of six children. He completed his law studies at the University of Bonn in 1989. Georg Maier (born 25 April 1967) is a German politician from the Social Democratic Party of Germany. From 30 August 2017 to 5 February 2020, Maier was Minister of the Interior of the Free State of Thuringia in the First Ramelow cabinet. On 4 March 2020, he was reappointed minister of his previous ministry in the Second Ramelow cabinet. He has been state chairman of the since 26 September 2020 and deputy prime minister of Thuringia since 31 August 2021.
