Fire (Ferry Corsten Song)
"Fire" by Ferry Corsten is a trance song that was released as a single in 2005, as well as appearing on Ferry Corsten's 2006 album L.E.F. It features vocals by Simon Le Bon (of the popular 80's band Duran Duran) from the 1990 song "Serious (Duran Duran song), Serious" by Duran Duran, which were re-recorded by Le Bon rather than sampled from the original song. A compilation of eight different remixes, also called "Fire", was released in 2006. The song received wide play throughout Europe through 2006 on commercial radio stations. Music video The music video features a woman in a block of ice being defrosted by Ferry Corsten using a Gas axe. The video also features extracts from Duran Duran's video for the song "Serious". The extracts feature LeBon close up performing the lyrics that form the main body of "Fire". Ferry Corsten OON (; born 4 December 1973) is a Dutch DJ, record producer and remixer. He is well known for producing many pioneering trance tracks during the 1990s–2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Gouryella. In recent years, he has shifted to a broader electronic music style, playing everything from progressive house to uplifting trance; and hosts his own weekly radio show, ''Resonation Radio''. Corsten routinely plays at events and festivals all over the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, and many others, and has been consistently ranked among '' DJ Mag'''s Top 100 DJs poll, having placed at rank 5 in 2004 and 2005, 6 in 2006 and 2008; and most recently at 80 for 2024.
