Fintan O'Connor
Fintan O'Connor is an Irish hurling manager, coach and selector. He has been the manager of the senior Kerry county hurling team since 2016. Born in Kilcullen, County Kildare, O'Connor grew up with an association with rugby union. He managed Waterpark RFC before becoming involved with various hurling teams at Blackwater Community School. O'Connor later served as manager of the Fourmilewater team before guiding Cappoquin to Munster success in the intermediate grade in 2014. That same year he was part of the Waterford Institute of Technology Fitzgibbon Cup-winning management team. O'Connor spent two years as a selector with the Waterford senior team, helping the team to a National Hurling League title in 2015. He was appointed manager of the senior Kerry county hurling team in January 2016. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire, London and Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. Teams representing subdivisions of counties, such as Fingal and South Down have also participated at various times. The National Hurling League has been associated with a title sponsor since 1985. Stephen Molumphy
Stephen Molumphy (born 11 January 1984) is an Irish former hurler with Waterford senior hurling team and currently manager of the Kerry senior hurling team. He played for Waterford Senior Championship club Ballyduff Upper and was a member of the Waterford senior hurling team for nine seasons, during which time he usually lined out in midfield or as a left wing-forward. Playing career St. Colman's College Molumphy first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Colman's College in Fermoy. He played in every grade of hurling and enjoyed success by winning a Dean Ryan Cup medal before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. On 25 March 2001, Molumphy was part of the team when St. Colman's College defeated St. Flannan's College from Ennis by 2–12 to 0–15 to win the Harty Cup. Ciarán Carey
Ciarán Carey (born 16 January 1970) is an Irish former hurling manager, selector and player. Primarily playing at the centre-back position, Carey's club career was with Patrickswell and at inter-county level with Limerick. He was a key member of the latter team during the 1990s and collected two Munster titles, two National Hurling League titles and three All-Star awards. In retirement from playing Carey has become involved in team management and coaching. At club level he has taken charge of the Tournafulla and Granagh-Ballingarry sides in hurling and camogie respectively. Carey began his inter-county coaching career when he was appointed manager of the Limerick senior camogie team in 2007. He subsequently took charge of the Limerick under-21 hurling team as well as being a selector with the Limerick senior hurling team under Dónal O'Grady. All-Ireland Under-21 B Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 (previously Under-21) B Championship, the second tier competition in hurling is an annual series of games for male players under the age of 20 and is organized by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The 2019 competition was the first at the Under 20 age level. The final is currently played in April or May and the winning county receive the Richie McElligott Cup, which is named in honour of the late great Kerry stalwart Richie McElligott of the Lixnaw club and was first presented in 2015. The championship is played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated. Teams that are deemed ineligible or "too weak" for the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship participate in the B championship. Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship
Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship is a second-tier hurling competition organised by the Waterford Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The winning club progresses to the senior grade the following year for the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship. The winning club also represents Waterford GAA in the Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship.
