Finland In The Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Finland was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "No Rules!" performed by Windows95man, featuring uncredited live vocals from Henri Piispanen. The Finnish participating broadcaster (Yle) organised the national final ''2024'' in order to select its entry for the contest. Finland was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 7 May 2024. Performing during the show in position 10, "No Rules!" was announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and therefore qualified to compete in the final on 11 May. It was later revealed that Finland placed seventh out of the 15 participating countries in the semi-final with 79 points. In the final, Finland performed in position 17 and placed nineteenth out of the 26 participating countries, scoring 38 points. UMK began in 2012 as the new format for the Eurovision Song Contest, replacing the original Finnish Eurovision selection ''Suomen euroviisukarsinta'' which had been held since 1961.
