Field Officer
A senior officer is an officer of a more senior grade in military or other uniformed services. In military organisations, the term may refer to any officer above junior officer rank, but usually specifically refers to the middle-ranking group of commissioned officers above junior officer ranks but below flag, general or air rank. In most countries, this includes the ranks of lieutenant commander/major/ squadron leader, commander/ lieutenant colonel/ wing commander and naval captain/colonel/group captain, or their equivalents. In some countries, it also includes brigadiers and commodores. Sometimes, particularly in the army, this grade is referred to as field-grade officers, field officers or officers of field rank. Junior Officer
Junior officer, company officer or company grade officer refers to the lowest operational commissioned officer category of ranks in a military or paramilitary organization, ranking above non-commissioned officers and below senior officers. Regiment
A regiment is a military unit. Its role and size varies markedly, depending on the country, military service, service, or administrative corps, specialisation. Frigate Captain
Frigate captain is a naval rank in the naval forces of several countries. Corvette captain lies one level below frigate captain. It is usually equivalent to the Commonwealth/US Navy rank of commander. Corvette Captain
Corvette captain is a rank in many European and Latin American navies which theoretically corresponds to command of a corvette (small warship). Lieutenant-colonel (Canada)
In the Canadian Forces, lieutenant-colonel (LCol, or ) is a rank for officers who wear army or air force uniform. It is equivalent to commander for officers who wear navy uniform and is the second-highest rank of senior officer. A lieutenant-colonel is senior to a major or lieutenant-commander, and junior to a colonel or naval captain. The rank insignia for a lieutenant-colonel on air force uniforms is three 1-cm stripes of braid, worn on the cuffs of the service-dress jacket, and on slip-ons on other uniforms.
