Ferry Corsten
Ferry Corsten OON (; born 4 December 1973) is a Dutch DJ, record producer and remixer. He is well known for producing many pioneering trance tracks during the 1990s–2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Gouryella. In recent years, he has shifted to a broader electronic music style, playing everything from progressive house to uplifting trance; and hosts his own weekly radio show, ''Resonation Radio''. Corsten routinely plays at events and festivals all over the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, and many others, and has been consistently ranked among '' DJ Mag'''s Top 100 DJs poll, having placed at rank 5 in 2004 and 2005, 6 in 2006 and 2008; and most recently at 80 for 2024. Gatecrasher
Gatecrasher is an international clubbing brand made famous by the "Gatecrasher" (later "Crasher") dance music events, which were held at the Republic nightclub in Sheffield, UK during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The promoters of the brand were Simon Raine and Simon Oates and, until 2004, Scott Bond. By August 2014, the only Gatecrasher venue remaining was located in the United Kingdom city of Birmingham. This venue was closed down permanently by the authorities on 25 November 2015. History Conception During the early 1990s, Scott Bond was a DJ for nightclubs in Birmingham. In approximately 1992, Bond met Simon Raine who was the manager of a club called Bakers at the time. Bond subsequently agreed to become the new resident DJ at Bakers, while Raine focused on the promotion of a new club night called Absolutely Ridiculous. Duane Harden
Duane Harden (born August 5, 1971) is a German-born American dance music vocalist and songwriter who has sung on several hits by various producers. Harden is particularly famous in the United Kingdom, having sung on two best-selling dance singles in 1999: " You Don't Know Me" with Armand Van Helden and " What You Need" with Powerhouse. The former song topped the UK Singles Chart in January 1999. Musical career He started producing music in 1997 when he teamed up with Moises Modesto to form MODU Productions. Nicholas Bracegirdle (born 28 February 1971), known professionally as Chicane, is an English musician, DJ, composer, songwriter, and record producer. Among his works are singles " Offshore", an Ibiza trance anthem included in many compilations in both chill-out and dance versions; " Saltwater", which featured vocals by Clannad member Máire Brennan, and the UK number-one hit " Don't Give Up", featuring vocals by Bryan Adams, which also became a top ten hit on singles charts across Europe and Australia. Markus Schulz
Markus Schulz ( , ; born 3 February 1969) is a German DJ and record producer based in Miami, Florida. Best known for his weekly radio show titled ''Global DJ Broadcast'' that airs on Digitally Imported radio, ah.fm and other online stations, Schulz is also the founder of the Record label, label Coldharbour Recordings and Schulz Music Group (SMG), an artist management company that manages rising stars in the industry. In September 2012, Schulz was crowned America's number one DJ by ''DJ Times''. In early 2013, after several spontaneous back-to-back performances, Schulz and Ferry Corsten announced they would be producing and touring together as the new Electronic dance music, EDM group New World Punx. Aruna (singer)
Aruna Beth Abrams (born January 16, 1975) is an American singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and pianist. She is best known as a vocalist in dance music since 2007 but has been working as DJ and producer of her own work since 2011. She resides in Los Angeles, California. Early life and career Aruna grew up in Flemington, New Jersey, the daughter of Beatrice and Larry S. Abrams, a clinical pharmaceutical researcher. Her name was suggested by her Indian godfather and means "sunrise" in Hindi. She began studying classical piano and later, jazz improvisation, and left her hometown to study piano as well as film scoring and electronic music production at the Berklee College of Music, Boston. In 1996 she worked on the 'Portal' project together with members of the progressive metal band Cynic, providing vocals and keyboards. Novastar
Novastar is a Belgian rock band led by Dutch-born singer-songwriter and guitarist/pianist Joost Zweegers. They are known for their emotional ballads, and the high pitch of Zweegers's voice. Zweegers has also released solo material under the name Novastar. History ''Novastar'' Novastar was the winner of Humo's Rock Rally in 1996. Their self-titled debut album '' Novastar'' was not released until four years later, in 2000, but with success. The album, produced by Wouter Van Belle and Marc Bonne, was released by Warner Music, reached #1 on the Ultratop Chart in Flanders, and won the band a platinum record. Maria Nayler
Maria Nayler is a British trance singer. Career In the early 1990s, Nayler was part of Ultraviolet, who released two singles, "Kites" (1990) and "I Wish That" (1991). In 1995, she appeared as featured vocalist on Sasha's trance track "Be as One". It received a release through Deconstruction Records in early 1996, peaking at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. Later that same year, Nayler teamed up with electronic dance musician Robert Miles, who applied her vocals to the international hit song " One and One", the third single taken from Miles' album '' Dreamland''. "One and One" topped the charts in Italy and Belgium and peaked at No. 3 in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Norway. Betsie Larkin
Betsie Larkin is an American vocalist, songwriter and guest writer/vocalist based in San Francisco, California, United States. Her first EDM collaborations with Ferry Corsten, "Made of Love" and "Feel You", appeared on Corsten's album '' Twice in a Blue Moon''. Soon after its release, the single "Made of Love" made the top 40 in the Netherlands. In 2008 it was voted the fifth track overall on Armin Van Buuren's radio program A State of Trance, number one on Above and Beyond Group Therapy Radio, and reached the number one position on Corsten's Countdown's 100th episode. Public Enemy is an American hip hop group formed in Roosevelt, New York, in 1985 by Chuck D and Flavor Flav.
