Femmes Et Mathématiques
L'association femmes et mathématiques (English: Association of Women and Mathematics) is a voluntary association promoting women in scientific studies, research, and mathematics created in 1987.Official Association Website Nous Sommes, or About, page This organization currently has about 200 members, including university professors of math, math teachers, sociologists, philosophers and historians that are interested in the "woman question" in scientific domains. The Association's primary objectives include encouraging and promoting women in STEM fields, assisting in communication between mathematicians, and promoting equality between genders. It specifically organizes a forum of young women mathematicians, as well as conferences on different topics related to its objectives. Laurence Broze
Laurence Broze (born 1960) is a Belgian applied mathematician specializing in statistics and econometrics and particularly in the theory of rational expectations. She is a professor of applied mathematics at the University of Lille in France. From 2012 to 2018 she was president of l'association femmes et mathématiques, a French association for women in mathematics. Education and career Broze was born in Brussels. She went to high school in Charleroi and earned an agrégation in mathematics in 1982 at the Université libre de Bruxelles. She earned her doctorate at the same university in 1986, and completed a habilitation at the University of Lille in 1994. Marie-Françoise Roy
Marie-Françoise Roy (born 28 April 1950 in Paris) is a French mathematician noted for her work in real algebraic geometry. She has been Professor of Mathematics at the University of Rennes 1 since 1985 and in 2009 was made a ''Chevalier'' of the French Legion of Honour. In 2004, she received an Irène Joliot-Curie Prize. Research Roy works in real algebraic geometry in particular real spectra and, most recently, in complexity of algorithms in real algebraic geometry and also the applications.
