Sub-regions Of Finland
Sub-regions (, ) are divisions used for Statistics, statistical purposes in Finland. The country is divided into 69 sub-regions, which are formed by groups of Municipalities of Finland, municipalities within the 19 regions of Finland. These sub-regions represent a Local administrative unit, LAU 1 level of division used in conjunction with the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics. Each municipality is a member of a sub-region based on cooperation between municipalities and the Commuting, commuter area. The member municipalities must be from the same region. Sub-regions were introduced as administrative divisions in 1994. Sub-region are no longer an official regional administrative divisions since 2014, but it is still valid for statistical purposes. 2018 Finnish Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Finland on 28 January 2018. The incumbent Sauli Niinistö received 63% of the vote and was re-elected for a second term, avoiding a Two-round system, second round. He received a plurality of the vote in every Municipalities of Finland, municipality and a majority in all but 13 municipalities. Niinistö's second term was from 1 February 2018 to 1 March 2024. Tuula Haatainen
Tuula Irmeli Haatainen (born 11 February 1960) is a Finnish politician and a member of the Finnish Parliament, with the Social Democratic Party of Finland, Social Democratic Party. She was the Minister of Education 2003–2005 and the Minister of Social Affairs and Health 2005–2007. In 2007 Haatainen was chosen as the Deputy Mayor of Helsinki and she left the parliament. She returned to the parliament following the 2015 elections, in which she received 6,662 personal votes. Laura Huhtasaari (born 30 March 1979) is a Finland, Finnish politician and teacher. As a member of the Finns Party, she has represented Satakunta (electoral district), Satakunta in the Parliament of Finland from April 2015 to July 2019. Matti Vanhanen
Matti Taneli Vanhanen (; born 4 November 1955) is a Finnish politician who served as Prime Minister of Finland from 2003 to 2010. He was also Chairman of the Centre Party (Finland), Centre Party in 2006. In his earlier career, he was a journalist. Vanhanen is the son of professor Tatu Vanhanen and Anni Tiihonen. Merja Kyllönen (born 25 January 1977) is a Finnish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Finland. Pekka Olavi Haavisto (; born 23 March 1958) is a Finnish politician of the Green League who served as the Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2019 to 2023. Muonio
Muonio (previously called ''Muonionniska''; ) is a municipalities of Finland, municipality of Finland. The town is located in fell-region of far northern Finland above the Arctic Circle on the country's western border with Sweden, the Muonio (river), Muonio River. Kolari
Kolari is a municipality of Finland at the Swedish border, which follows the Torne River, the longest free-flowing river in Europe. It is located in the region of Lapland. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is .
