Feel The Beat (Darude Song)
"Feel the Beat" is a song by Finnish DJ and record producer Darude. It was released as the second single from his debut studio album '' Before the Storm''. It shares many similar musical elements to the first single, "Sandstorm", and achieved success throughout Europe, Oceania, and North America. It topped the singles charts in Finland and was a top ten hit in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and on the US (''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play). Music video A music video was filmed for "Feel the Beat". In the video, Darude appears holding a briefcase and riding a Razor scooter. He gets into a Dodge Viper with a young woman and drives through the countryside, eventually stopping to meet a helicopter. The helicopter flies them to a dance party. Darude opens the briefcase to reveal a golden LP labeled "DARUDE – FEEL THE BEAT", which he proceeds to play on a turntable. Darude
Toni-Ville Henrik Virtanen (; born 17 July 1975), better known by his stage name Darude (), is a Finnish DJ and record producer from Eura, Satakunta. His music is characterised by its progressive/uplifting style. He started making music in 1995 and released the platinum-selling hit single " Sandstorm" in late 1999. His debut studio album, '' Before the Storm'', was released on 18 September 2000, and sold 800,000 copies worldwide, earning Darude three Finnish Grammy Awards. It peaked at number one on Finland's Official List and number 6 on the ''Billboard'' Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the United States. Darude's second studio album, '' Rush'', reached number 11 on the ''Billboard'' dance chart in 2003 and number 4 on weekly album chart in Finland. Jam! was a Canadian website which covered entertainment news. It was part of the Canoe.com online portal, formerly owned and operated by Quebecor through its Sun Media division, and now owned by Postmedia Network. Jam! was the only media outlet that published a comprehensive collection of the official Canadian record charts as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, based on sales data from IFPI Sverige. It was formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and has been known by its current name since October 2007. VG-lista is the primary Norwegian record chart, charting albums and singles from Norwegian and international artists. It is presented weekly in the newspaper ''Verdens Gang, VG''. The data is collected by Nielsen SoundScan, Nielsen Soundscan International and based on the sales in approximately 100 shops in Norway. The singles chart started as a top 10 chart in week 42 of 1958 and was expanded to a top 20 chart in week 5 of 1995, the same time as the albums chart, which started as a top 20 chart in week 1 of 1967, was expanded to a top 40 chart.
