Federal Union Of European Nationalities
The Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1949 in conjunction with the formation of the Council of Europe. FUEN is an umbrella organization, and as of 2023, it has more than 100 member organizations representing ethnic, linguistic and national minorities within Europe. FUEN has been instrumental in encouraging the Council of Europe to adopt the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages and the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities. FUEN was organized to give expression to European cultures and languages that do not possess form as a nation-state. One in seven Europeans are members of such minorities and fifty-three languages are spoken in Europe by such minorities. The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (, abbr. VMSZ; , abbr. SVM) is a regionalist political party in Serbia, representing the Hungarian minority. The Lunjina Serbian–Aromanian Association (; / , / ) is an organization of Aromanians in Serbia with its headquarters at Belgrade, the capital of the country. It was founded in 1991 as a result of the merge of two Aromanian organizations at Dolna Belica and Gorna Belica, which are two Aromanian villages in North Macedonia. The aim of the organization is to protect the Aromanian minority in Serbia and preserve its customs, culture, language, name and traditions. The Hungarian Civic Party (, , ) was a political party of the Hungarian minority in Romania. It was founded in 2001 as the Hungarian Civic Union and was formally registered as a party on March 14, 2008. It positions itself as an alternative to the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR/RMDSZ), the largest party representing Romania's Hungarian minority. The Slovene Union (, SSk, , US) is a political party in Italy representing the Slovene minority in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Its Slovene name means literally "Slovene Community", but the denomination "Slovene Union" is used in other languages.
