The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment is the Nigerian Federal Ministry concerned with relations between workers and employers. It is headed by the Minister of Labour and Employment, who is appointed by the President of Nigeria, President, and is assisted by a Permanent Secretary, who is a career civil servant. The current minister is Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as minister of Labour and Employment and Nkiruka Onyejeocha as the minister of State for Labour and Employment. Hassan Muhammed Lawal was appointed Minister of Labour in 2003, and was reappointed by President Umaru Yar'Adua in July 2007. Kwara State
Kwara () is a state in Western Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger State, and to the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states, while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin. Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh (18 July 1912 – 15 January 1966) was a Nigerian politician who was the finance minister of Nigeria from 1957 to 1966 during the administration of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa. Okotie-Eboh was born to an Itsekiri Chief, Prince Okotie Eboh in Warri, a town along the Benin River in Niger Delta. Before his change of name, he was Chief Festus Samuel Edah. Chief Samuel Ládòkè Akíntọ́lá otherwise known as ''S.L.A.'' (6 July 1910 – 15 January 1966) was a Nigerian politician, aristocrat, orator, and lawyer. He served as Oloye Aare Ona Kakanfo XIII of Yorubaland and served as premier of Western Nigeria from independence in 1960 until his assassination in 1966. In mid-1945, a general strike took place in Nigeria. It was the first of its kind in the nation, growing to comprise an estimated 200,000 workers and seventeen labor un fadé blaq.
