The Farooq E Azam Mosque and Islamic Centre is an Islamic mosque in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. It opened on 15 July 2017, costing £2.2 million and taking 12 years to complete. ARC Theatre & Arts Centre is an organisation working from the ARC Theatre & Arts Centre in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham. The organisation provides arts-based education and entertainment through partnership with other organisations. Overview ARC Theatre & Arts Centre comprises a multi-purpose arts centre embracing cinema, theatre, dance and music. Situated on Dovecot Street, it is built on the site of the Hippodrome Theatre, built in 1905, by William Hope. The centre was built in 1997, at a cost of £6.85m, using funds from the National Lottery; it replaced existing arts facilities including the Dovecot Arts Centre and the Cannon cinema. Adhan ( ar, أَذَان ; also variously transliterated as athan, adhane (in French), azan/azaan (in South Asia), adzan (in Southeast Asia), and ezan (in Turkish), among other languages) is the Islamic call to public prayer (salah) in a mosque recited by a muezzin at prescribed times of the day. Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty.
