Farhang Holakouee–Naeinee (; born 31 August 1944), simply known as Farhang Holakouee, is an Iranian-born American radio personality, sociologist, and economist. His radio program—hosted in the past by 670 KIRN, and currently by "Radio Hamrah"—offers relationship advice to callers in Persian. Holakouee was born in Shiraz, Iran, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Education Holakouee has master's degrees in psychology, economics, and family counseling. He taught at the University of Tehran, before moving to the United States, where he completed a PhD in sociology at the University of Utah in 1974. Farhang Mehr
Farhang Mehr (11 December 1923 – 3 March 2018) was an Iranian-born American Zoroastrian scholar and politician. Background Mehr was born to a Zoroastrian family in Tehran, Iran. His father, Mehraban Mehr was from the province of Kerman, and at the age of 14 migrated to Tehran for greater economic and social opportunities. He went on to become Chief Accountant in the Majlis Showraye Melli parliament, the predecessor of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iran). His mother, Paridokht (née Barkhordar), was a granddaughter of Khajeh Barkhordar, a Zoroastrian Yazdi immigrant to Tehran, who served as one of the farm-managers of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. Farhang was raised as a devout Zoroastrian and a patriotic Iranian. Farhang Sharif learned music under the mentorship of his father starting at a young age. He learned to play tar with maestros Abdolhossein Shahnazi and Morteza Neidavoud, two masters of tar who lived during the and Pahlavi periods.
