Fanny Blomé
Fanny Blomé (born 1989 in Norrköping) is a Swedish model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Earth Sweden 2008. She was succeeding Ivana Gagula in October 2008 and represented Sweden in one of the world's three biggest international contests, Miss Earth. The beauty pageant which has focus on environment took place in the Philippines (November 2008). Blomé was one of two Swedish citizens in the Miss Earth 2008 pageant, alongside Miss Kosovo, Yllka Berisha. Blomé was one of few blondes in the contest. Blomé had a great career on the rise played as basketball player in Norrköping Dolphins but quit and joined the Swedish Armed Forces. She was chief of her platoon when she entered the Swedish military in the northeast part of Sweden, Boden, in 2009. Miss Earth Sweden was a beauty pageant for Swedish females between 18–27 years old. The pageant was until 2013 sponsored by Carousel Production Inc.. The winner of the pageant competes in the global beauty pageant, Miss Earth, held each year in the Philippines. The main issues of the contest are environmental causes and the preservation of the Earth. The Swedish supervisor of the franchise was, until 2011, Roberto Strindstedt. Miss Earth 2008, the 8th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 9, 2008, at the Clark Expo Amphitheater in Angeles City, Philippines. Eighty-five delegates arrived from 19 October 2008 in Philippines. Yllka Berisha (born January 18, 1988) is a Kosovar–Swedish model and singer. Biography Berisha was born January 18, 1988 in Pristina, at the time SAP Kosovo, SFR Yugoslavia. The Norrköping Dolphins are a professional basketball club from Norrköping, Sweden. It plays in the Basketligan, the highest league in Sweden and won the league six times.
