Failsafe (UK Band)
Failsafe were an English melodic rock band formed in 2000. They are based in and around Preston, Lancashire, England. They released three albums independently, with their third produced by Dave Eringa. History Beginnings Based in the north-west England city of Preston, the various members brought their own individual influences and styles to the band. Forming in spring 2000, the school friends were originally known as Duck Hunt after the NES game. After a number of line-up changes, the band began to tour, sharing the stage with the likes of Paramore, Cute Is What We Aim For, A Wilhelm Scream, Idlewild, The Bouncing Souls, Flogging Molly, Boysetsfire, Allister, Rx Bandits, Belvedere, Capdown, Failure By Design, The Aquabats, Spunge, A Day To Remember, Armor for Sleep, Anti-Flag and Phinius Gage. Preston, Lancashire
Preston () is a city on the north bank of the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. The city is the administrative centre of the county of Lancashire and the wider City of Preston, Lancashire, City of Preston local government district. Belvedere (band)
Belvedere is a Canadian punk rock band from Calgary and Edmonton, Canada formed in 1995. History Taking their name from the '80s sitcom, Belvedere began in Calgary, in 1995, as the three-piece band of Steve Rawles (guitar/vocals), Brock (bass), and Dan Hrynuik (drums). As the years progressed along with their revolving lineup, Belvedere remained with their melodic pop-punk sound that looked up to the likes of Bad Religion and NOFX. Eventually recruiting second guitarist Scott Marshall, replacement drummer Jay Hollywood, and a replacement bassist Jason Sinclair, the quartet released their debut album, ''Because No One Stopped Us'', in 1998 through Hourglass and 206 Records. After spending most of 1999 on the road - along with Bad Religion and Strung Out, for a stint - Jump Start Records released Belvedere's follow-up album, ''Angels Live in My Town'', in early 2000. Give It A Name
Give it a Name, also known as GIAN (and Give It a Name Incoming in 2009), named after an At the Drive-In song, was an annual British rock music festival, normally held on the weekend nearest to the end of April. The first festival took place on 2 May 2005 at Alexandra Palace, North London. In 2006, Give it a Name became a paired, two-day festival, taking place at the MEN Arena, Manchester, and Earl's Court, London. 2007 saw the festival extend to three days and six different locations, including events for the first time in Scotland, France and Germany. The festival tended to feature post-hardcore, indie rock and alternative bands. Give It a Name went ahead in 2009 despite the controversy of it possibly being cancelled. Rumours were dismissed when the official Myspace page of Give It a Name was seen to contain only a countdown clock expiring on 4 February. MC Lars
Andrew Robert Nielsen (born October 6, 1982), known professionally as MC Lars, is an American rapper, producer, educator, and founder of Horris Records. A graduate of Stanford University and the University of Oxford, he is credited as a pioneer of "lit-hop", a genre blending hip-hop with themes from classical and American literature. Scarlet Lilith Eleida Page (born 24 March 1971) is an English photographer. She is the daughter of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and Charlotte Martin, a French model. Childhood Born in London, she grew up in England, and stayed at both Plumpton Place in East Sussex (1971–1979), and later the Old Mill House in Mill Lane, Berkshire, where she also learned to play the piano. She was also a passenger in the car driven by Robert Plant's wife Maureen on the Greek island of Rhodes on 4 August 1975, when their hired Austin Mini skidded off the road and collided with a tree. Phinius Gage
Phinius Gage are an English underground skate punk/melodic hardcore band who started up in 2001. In 2015 they played a reunion tour and announced in 2024 they had reformed. The band's first new music in nearly 2 decades came out in 2025. The band have promised a new full-length in the future. History The band is named after Phineas Gage, an 1840s railway foreman, who had a large iron rod driven through his head and thereby lost part of his brain. They played over 500 shows in their existence, touring with many bands including Streetlight Manifesto, Spunge, Whitmore, Flood Of Red, Reuben, RedLightsFlash, Ten Foot Pole, Farse, and 4Ft Fingers. Anti-Flag was an American punk rock band formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1988. The band was known for its left-wing politics, left-wing political activism. For the majority of the band's career, their members included Justin Sane (vocals and guitar), Chris Head (guitar), Pat Thetic (drums), and Chris Barker, also known as Chris No. 2 (vocals and bass). Gaining popularity through the punk underground, Anti-Flag controversially signed to RCA Records and released their major label debut ''For Blood and Empire'' in 2006. A Day to Remember is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Ocala, Florida, in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are known for their amalgamation of metalcore and pop-punk. The band currently consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, percussionist/drummer Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff. Signing with Indianola Records for their debut album, ''And Their Name Was Treason'' (2005), Scruggs was replaced by Shelnutt in 2006. Later that year the band recorded ''For Those Who Have Heart'' (2007) for Victory Records. They embarked on several tours of the UK and U.S. and played at several festivals before recording and releasing ''Homesick (A Day to Remember album), Homesick'' (2009). While promoting ''Homesick'' on tour, Denney was replaced by Skaff.
