FC Iberia 1999
FC Iberia 1999 (formerly known as FC Saburtalo) is a Georgian football club, based in Tbilisi, the capital of the country. History Saburtalo was founded on 20 August 1999, in Tbilisi. In 2005, the club was bought by Iberia Business Group and its owner Tariel Khechikashvili, who later became the Minister of Sport & Youth Affairs of Georgia. Saburtalo has one of the top football academies in the country. The club has a full-size stadium, called ''Bendela'', with the capacity of 1,800 spectators. In March 2016, Manolo Hierro was appointed as the sporting director of the club. Saburtalo is the name of one of Tbilisi's districts. On 27 February 2024, the team's name was changed to Iberia 1999. Mikheil Meskhi Stadium
The Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, also known as the Lokomotivi Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Tbilisi, Georgia named after the famous Georgian international footballer, Mikheil Meskhi (1937–1991). It is used mostly for football matches, and occasionally for rugby union and rugby league matches. The stadium was renovated in 2001 and has a capacity to hold 27,223 people. It is the second largest stadium in Georgia, after the Boris Paichadze Stadium. The 2015–16 Umaglesi Liga was the 27th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Dila Gori were the defending champions. The season began on 13 August 2015 and ended on 22 May 2016. It was a last season with an autumn-spring schedule before the changes of competition format to spring-autumn schedule from 2017 season. The 2022 Erovnuli Liga or Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga 2022 (formerly known as ''Umaglesi Liga'') was the 34th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Dinamo Batumi were the defending champions. The 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League is the second season of the UEFA Europa Conference League, Europe's tertiary club football tournament organised by UEFA. The final will be played at Fortuna Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. Levan Korgalidze
Levan Korgalidze (born 21 February 1980) is a former Georgian midfielder and current manager of Kazakhstan Premier League club Zhenis. Korgalidze played regularly for the Georgia national under-21 football team. His debut called up to the national team was in 2003. He is the son of Otar Korghalidze. Coaching career Korgalidze started his coaching career in 2017 at Saburtalo Tbilisi at youth level. In the summer of 2018, he joined Locomotive Tbilisi as assistant manager and head coach of U15s. In April 2019, following some unsatisfactory results, Locomotive fired the manager, replacing him with Korgalidze. Under his leadership, the team not only climbed out of the drop zone, but also qualified for the 2020 Europa League for the first time since 2008. The 2020 Erovnuli Liga or Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga 2020 (formerly known as ''Umaglesi Liga'') was the 32nd season of top-tier football in Georgia. FC Dinamo Tbilisi, Dinamo Tbilisi were the defending champions. The season began on 29 February 2020 and ended on 10 December 2020. The league winner, Dinamo Tbilisi, earned a place in the UEFA Champions League and the second and third-placed clubs, Dinamo Batumi and Dila Gori respectively, earned a place in the new UEFA Europa Conference League. In March the season was suspended following a decision by the Georgian Football Federation due to COVID-19 pandemic, initially until 1 April, but later the suspension was extended to late June. The 2017 Erovnuli Liga (formerly known as ''Umaglesi Liga'') was the 29th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Samtredia are the defending champions. The season began on 4 March 2017 and ended on 26 November 2017.
