Exo-CBX () is the first sub-unit of South Korean–Chinese boy band Exo, consists of three members: Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chen. They debuted on October 31, 2016 with the extended play (EP) '' Hey Mama!''. History 2016: Formation, debut with ''Hey Mama!'' On July 29, 2016, Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin appeared in a video titled "Reservoir Idols" during Exo's concert tour Exo Planet 3 – The Exo'rdium. They then released an original soundtrack titled "For You" for the SBS television drama series '' Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo'' on August 23, 2016. As a result, it was speculated that they would form Exo's first sub-unit. This was confirmed by SM Entertainment on October 5. On October 23, they performed "For You" for the first time as a unit at the 2016 Busan One Asia Festival. Kim Min-seok (; born March 26, 1990), better known by his stage name Xiumin (; ), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo, its sub-group Exo-M and leader of its sub-unit Exo-CBX. He debuted as a soloist on September 26, 2022, with the extended play (EP) ''Brand New (EP), Brand New''. Name His stage name is a combination of the Chinese reading of hanja characters 秀 (xiù), which means great or show, and 珉 (mín) which is part of his birth name. ''Hey Mama!'' is the debut extended play by Exo-CBX, the first official sub-unit of the South Korean-Chinese boy group Exo. Kim Jong-dae (; born September 21, 1992), better known by his stage name, Chen (), is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Exo, its subgroup Exo-M and its subunit Exo-CBX, and participated in SM Entertainment, SM's projects SM the Ballad. He is predominantly known for his role as the vocalist of Exo. Apart from his group's activities, Chen has also recorded songs for various Korean drama, television dramas, most notably "Best Luck" for ''It's Okay, That's Love'' (2014) and "Everytime" for ''Descendants of the Sun'' (2016).
