Rotten Sound is a Finnish grindcore band from Vaasa, formed in 1993. The band comprises vocalist Keijo Niinimaa, guitarist Mika Aalto, bassist Matti Raappana, and drummer Sami Latva. The band has released eight studio albums and "earned a reputation for being one of the most intense bands on the Scandinavian death metal/grindcore scene". History Formation, ''Under Pressure'' and ''Drain'' (1993–2000) Rotten Sound was founded by guitarist Mika Aalto in Vaasa, Finland, in 1993. The group started recordings in 1994, releasing the single ''Sick Bastard'' through Genet Records. Their subsequent underground releases, between singles and EPs, included 1995's ''Psychotic Veterinarian'' on SOA, 1996's ''Loosin' Face'' on Anomie, and 1997's ''Splitted Alive'' on IDS. Mieszko Talarczyk
Mieszko Talarczyk (December 23, 1974 – December 26, 2004) was the lead singer and guitarist of the Swedish grindcore band Nasum, Genocide Superstars, and Krigshot. Known for his engineering and production abilities, he co-founded Soundlab studios with Millencolin guitarist Mathias Färm. In 2004, Mieszko went on holiday to Thailand with his girlfriend during a break in between albums, and died in the tsunami disaster on December 26, 2004. His body was identified on February 16, 2005, and his remains were transported back to his hometown of Örebro Örebro ( ; ) is the seventh-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Örebro Municipality, and capital of Örebro County. Murderworks
''Murderworks'' is the third studio album by the Finnish grindcore band Rotten Sound. The album was recorded at Soundlab studios with production by Mieszko Talarczyk. Release ''Murderworks'' was released in June 2002 through Deathvomit Records (a subsidiary of Necropolis Records) in the United States, and Century Media in Europe, where the album's artwork was censored by manufacturers in Germany, who considered the original cover and band photos too disturbing for German consumers. As a replacement, the cover was re-colored in shades of red and white, with a note on top saying, "Check booklet for original artwork." The album also includes two live videos for "Seeds" and "Strongman," and the "Targets" music video, which later appeared on the ''Murderlive'' DVD, released in 2004. Kai Hahto
Kai Hahto (born 31 December 1973) is a Finnish musician, best known as the drummer of Wintersun and Nightwish. Career In 2002, Hahto went to New York to study jazz drumming. Hahto was a member of the grindcore band Rotten Sound. In 2004 Hahto became one of the founders of the band Wintersun and left Rotten Sound later in 2005. In 2009-2012 Kai Hahto played about 300 shows with doom-death-metal band Swallow the Sun as a tour drummer. Hahto has an endorsement relationship with Sihi cymbals, Pearl drums and hardware, Balbex drumsticks, Roland V-Drums and Finfonic earphones.
