Turkic Mythology
Turkic mythology refers to myths and legends told by the Turkic people. It features Tengrism, Tengrist and Shamanism in Central Asia, Shamanist strata of belief along with many other social and cultural constructs related to the nomadic and warrior way of life of Turkic and Mongol peoples in Ancient history, ancient times. Agnès Evren (; born 27 December 1970) is a French politician of The Republicans (LR) who has been serving as a Senator for Paris since 2023. She was previously elected a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in 2019. Early life Evren is of Turkish origin and grew up as one of nine children in her family. Evren, Ankara
Evren, formerly Çıkınağıl, is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 369 km2, and its population is 40,625 (2022). It is 178 km from the city of Ankara. Its elevation is 887 m. Name This small remote town on the banks of Hirfanlı reservoir, was formerly known as ''Çıkınağıl'', and was renamed after Kenan Evren, former president of Turkey. Sekine Evren
Sekine Evren (née Muslu; 1922 – 3 March 1982) was the First Lady of Turkey from 12 September 1980 until her death on 3 March 1982 during the presidency of her husband Kenan Evren. Sekine Muslu was born as the first daughter of a vine grower in Alaşehir of Manisa, then Ottoman Empire, in 1922. She had three younger sisters. She could not complete her education. She married Senior lieutenant Kenan Evren in 1944 without the permission of her parents. She lost her first child at birth as her husband was assigned to the Turkish Brigade during the Korean War (1950–1953). She gave birth to three daughters Şenay, Gülay and Miray. Evren became diabetic at an early age. During a trip in Brussels, Belgium in May 1980, she had a heart attack and became paralyzed. Kenan Evren
Ahmet Kenan Evren (17 July 1917 – 9 May 2015) was a Turkish military officer and dictator who served as the seventh president of Turkey from 1980 to 1989. He assumed the post by leading the 1980 military coup. On 18 June 2014, a Turkish court sentenced him to life imprisonment and demotion of his military rank, (down to private from army general) for leading the military coup in 1980. He was found guilty of obstructing democracy by deposing the prime minister Süleyman Demirel and of abolishing the parliament, senate and the constitution. He has also taught film at the Film-TV Department, Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University, Istanbul. Biography Burçak Evren was born in 1947 in Istanbul, where he studied at the Faculty of Law and later at the Department of Classical Archaeology and Prehistory in the Faculty of Literature, Istanbul University from which he graduated. Sheikh Pir Nasiruddin Abul Hakayik Pir Mahmud bin Ahmed Ahi Evran bin Abbas Veli al-Khoyi (1169–1261), commonly known as Ahi Evran or Pir Ahi Evren-ı Veli, was a Turkic Alevi Sufi saint, preacher, philosopher and poet who wrote 20 books. He is mostly remembered as the founder and leader of the Ahi Brotherhood. Life Born in Khoy, Iranian Azerbaijan in 1169, he moved to Kayseri, Turkey and established the Ahi guild there. He was skilled in the leatherworking trade and he organized guilds from 32 different professions. He led and organized the Ahis into a force capable of fighting the invading Mongols. He was a Bektashi preacher who had gone to Trabzon during the Empire of Trebizond to spread Islam. As a scholar, he was taught by teachers in Baghdad and Khorasan.
