Eulogies (band)
Eulogies was an American rock band based in Los Angeles, California. The final lineup consisted of Peter Walker on guitar and vocals, Drew Phillips on guitar, Chris Reynolds on drums, and Ashley Dzerigian on bass. Former Eulogies bass player Tim Hutton and Chris Reynolds originally began playing with Peter Walker under the aegis of his solo work. After touring the US extensively in 2006, the trio was reborn under the name Eulogies. Drew Phillips joined the band in 2008, while Garrett Deloian joined the band in January 2009 (replacing bassist Tim Hutton, who left Eulogies shortly after recording resumed for their second album). They are signed to Los Angeles indie label Dangerbird Records, through which they released their self-titled debut album on September 11, 2007. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Dangerbird Records
Dangerbird Records is an independent record label in Los Angeles, California. The label is home to artists from around the world and part of the burgeoning Silver Lake music scene. The label has had international success from its small roster of artists including Silversun Pickups, Fitz and the Tantrums, Sebadoh, Minus the Bear, and The Frights History The two founders represented different roles in the music industry. Jeff Castelaz had managed Feist, Phoenix, Citizen King, and others, while Peter Walker was a singer-songwriter. The label's first release: Walker's solo album ''Landed''. Their business approach includes a strong emphasis on artist development, and working with a network of partners to help the bands reach a wide market. Hrishikesh Hirway
Hrishikesh Hirway (born February 1, 1979) is an American musician, producer, and podcast and television host. He has made four albums under the name The One AM Radio, and has a side project with Lakeith Stanfield called Moors. He is the creator and host of the podcasts '' Song Exploder, The West Wing Weekly'' (co-hosted with Joshua Malina), ''Home Cooking'' (co-hosted with Samin Nosrat), and ''Partners''. He is the host and executive producer of the Netflix television adaptation ''Song Exploder''. As a composer, Hirway scored the Netflix television show '' Everything Sucks!'' and the films ''Our Nixon'' and ''Save the Date''. Early life Hirway was born in Peabody, Massachusetts. Noted producer Tony Hoffer served as executive producer and mixer of the album. Founding member and bassist Tim Hutton left the band shortly after recording resumed for this album, and he was replaced by Garrett Deloian in January 2009. Sea Wolf is an American band led by Alex Brown Church, an indie folk musician based in Los Angeles, California, United States. History Church attended film school at NYU and was a founding member of a group called Irving in 1998. Many of the songs he wrote as a member of Irving didn't fit the group's style, so Church began performing as Sea Wolf with a rotating ensemble of backing musicians, playing locally in Los Angeles and recording demos in Seattle with producer Phil Ek. Sea Wolf signed to Dangerbird Records in 2007 and released the '' Get To The River Before It Runs Too Low'' EP and a full-length titled '' Leaves In The River''.
