Ettore Gandini
Ettore Gandini (born 1 May 1969 in Varese) is a retired Italian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Gandini played for the Varese youth teams and began to play with the senior team in Serie C2, with whom he won the league title in the 1989–90 season. In 1993, he was bought by Reggiana and loaned out to Barletta and Crevalcore. In 1995, he was the reserve of Reggiana's starting goalkeeper Marco Ballotta and the team obtained promotion to Serie A. The subsequent season he continued to be a reserve but managed to play one Serie A match, against Fiorentina. He ended his career in Serie C and Eccellenza. His career was well documented in Chapter 8 – Seven Minutes in Serie A, in the 2006 book 'Forza Italia - The Fall and Rise of Italian Football' by Irish Journalist Paddy Agnew. Varese ( , , or ; lmo, label=Varesino, Varés ; la, Baretium; archaic german: Väris) is a city and ''comune'' in north-western Lombardy, northern Italy, north-west of Milan. Lega Pro Seconda Divisione was the fourth highest football league in Italy, the lowest with a professional status. Usually it consisted of 36 teams, but in the 2011–12 season, there were 41 teams divided geographically into two divisions of 20 and 21. Group A covered northern and north-central Italy, Group B south-central and southern Italy. Until the 2007–08 season, the league was known as Serie C2. Before the 1978–79 season, there were only three professional football leagues in Italy, the third being Serie C. Marco Ballotta
Marco Ballotta (born 3 April 1964) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. His professional career spanned a quarter of a century, but he was never capped for the Italy national team. He also held the distinction of being the oldest player ever to appear in both the Serie A and the Champions League. During 15 Serie A seasons, Ballotta appeared in 138 games for six clubs, mainly Modena and Lazio. Francesco Oddo (born 24 August 1946) is an Italian football manager and former player. Career Born in Trapani, Sicily, but resident of Città Sant'Angelo, Abruzzo, Oddo started his coaching career in 1988 with Giulianova of the Serie C2 league. In 1990, he became head coach of Serie B club Avellino, successively managing several other teams from the same league such as Modena and Pescara. He made his debut in a Serie A coaching position during the 1995–96 season, with Reggiana, ending the season with an unfortunate relegation.
