Ethiopian Citizens For Social Justice
Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice (; abbreviated ) is a liberal political party in Ethiopia. It was formed in May 2019 from the merger of the Patriotic Ginbot 7, Ethiopian Democratic Party (EDP), All-Ethiopian Democratic Party (AEDP), Semayawi Party, New Generation Party (NGP), Gambella Regional Movement (GRM), and Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ) party. In July 2019, ye-Ethiopia Ra'iy Party (ERaPa) also merged into EZeMa. The party's logo consists of scales of justice with a large pencil acting as a pole connecting the scales. Its leader is Berhanu Nega, and its deputy leader is Andualem Aragie. Yeshiwas Assefa and Chane Kebede are chairperson and deputy chairperson, respectively. Berhanu Nega
Berhanu Nega (; born 6 December 1958) is an Ethiopian politician who is serving as the current Minister of Education since 2021. He previously was the mayor elect of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in the 2005 Ethiopian general elections. He is a founding chairman of the Rainbow Ethiopia: Movement for Democracy and Social Justice and a Deputy Chairman of Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD), for whom he served as chief election campaign strategist. He is also the co-founder and leader of Ginbot 7, an anti-government rebel group. Until mid-2018, he was labelled a terrorist by the Ethiopian government. The Prosperity Party (; ) is a political party in Ethiopia that was established on 1 December 2019 as a successor to the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The House of Peoples' Representatives is the lower house of the Ethiopian Federal Parliamentary Assembly. Located in the capital Addis Ababa, the House has 547 members. All are elected in theory for five-year term in single-seat constituencies. The proceedings in the chamber are led by Speaker of the House of Peoples' Representatives.
