Estonia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2014
Estonia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Amazing" written by Timo Vendt and Tanja. The song was performed by Tanja. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final ''Eesti Laul 2014'' in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2014 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten songs competed in each semi-final and the top five from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top two to qualify to the superfinal. Stig Rästa
Raul-Stig Rästa (born 24 February 1980) is an Estonian singer and songwriter who, along with singer Elina Born, represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song " Goodbye to Yesterday". Since 2025, Rästa has been a member of the 15th Riigikogu. Career Between 2002 and 2006 he formed a band Slobodan River with Ithaka Maria and Tomi Rahula. Sven Lõhmus, also known as Beatboy, (born 13 July 1972) is an Estonian pop-composer, lyricist, and producer at Moonwalk Studios, a music company featuring Estonian artists. He has worked with leading artists of Estonia, including Vanilla Ninja, for which he was a manager, Suntribe, Urban Symphony, Grete Paia, Laura Põldvere, and Getter Jaani. Mihkel Raud (born 18 January 1969) is an Estonian writer, music artist, actor, and a former member of the Estonian parliament. He is best known for his book ''Musta pori näkku'' and as a former host of an Estonian talk show on TV3. Tuuli Rand (born 1 March 1990 in Kuressaare, Saaremaa) is an Estonian singer. Early life and education She is a graduate of Kuressaare Gymnasium and Georg Ots Music Singing School. Career She is the lead singer in bands TuuliKustiPeep, Funkifize, Bliss, Estonian Dream Dixieland Band, and the vocal ensemble Söörömöö. During the Estonian singing show ''Eesti otsib superstaari'' she came to the studio rounds, but stopped there on her way and she did not make the finals. Liisi Koikson (born 4 June 1983 in Kilingi-Nõmme) is an Estonian singer, singing teacher and actress. Liisi Koikson attended Kilingi-Nõmme Gymnasium, graduating in 2001. Her first singing coach was composer, choir director and vocal pedagogue Toomas Voll, from 1991 until 1999. Urban Symphony
Urban Symphony was an Estonian music group. It represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song " Rändajad", finishing in 6th place with 129 points. In doing this, they achieved Estonia's 6th best placement of all time, and the best placement from after their win in 2001 until 2025. Sandra Nurmsalu (born 6 December 1988) is an Estonian singer, songwriter, and violinist. Recognized within Estonia for her genre-bending style, Nurmsalu has garnered success as both the lead singer of Urban Symphony and as a solo artist. Vanilla Ninja is an Estonian all-female rock music, rock band which enjoyed chart success in a number of countries across Europe, especially in Estonia, Germany and Austria.
