The Club de Futbol Espana De Puebla was a Mexican club that was one of the pioneers of association football in the state and city of Puebla. The club was founded in 1915 as Puebla FC, by mostly Mexican natives and the Spaniard community. The club was one of the most successful of the amateur era in Puebla. The club would dissolve in the early 1940s when it merged with Asturias de Puebla, a few years before professional football was established in Mexico. History would have it that the club would return and form part of Puebla F.C., the same name the club was founded with in 1915. The Liga Mexicana de Fútbol Amateur Association, known as the Primera Fuerza, was an amateur football league founded in Mexico in 1902 with five clubs: " Orizaba A.C.", " Pachuca A.C.", " Reforma A.C.", " Mexico Cricket Club" and " British Club". Orizaba won the league in its inaugural year. A total of 37 teams took part in this league from 1902 until 1943, when football in Mexico went professional. History Prior to the Liga Mayor, there was no national football league in Mexico and football competitions were held within relatively small geographical regions. The winners of the ''Primera Fuerza'', a local league consisting of teams in and around Mexican Federal District, was considered the national champion. Club Deportivo Albinegros de Orizaba was a football club of the city of Orizaba, in the state of Veracruz. Founded in 1898 as "Orizaba Athletic Club", it was founded by Scottish migrant Duncan Mac Comish Mac Donald who owned a local steel company. In the beginning, the club hosted cricket among other sports. The club had the honour of being Mexico's first ever football champion in 1903 when the club played in the old Primera Fuerza. The club was among the first other to play in the Primera División de México in 1943 which was the first ever professional league in the nation history.
