Eric D. Thomas (born September 3, 1970) is an Americans, American motivational speaker, author, consultant, and Minister (Christianity), minister. Speeches by Thomas are popular on YouTube. Early life Thomas was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He was born to a single, teenage mother. After various arguments with his parents and aunts, he dropped out of high school and lived homeless on the streets of Detroit for two years. While he was homeless, a friend took him to his church, where he met a pastor and evangelist team who encouraged him to get his G.E.D. and pursue a college degree. He was invited to move in with one of the church members' families and secured employment at the local McDonalds. He also took a job at an Olive Garden on the westside of Detroit. Eric Jason Thomas (born September 11, 1964) is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and Denver Broncos. Eric L. Thomas Jr. (born November 11, 1991) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist currently signed with the Shreveport Rouxgaroux of the National Arena League. Prior to his arena football career, Thomas played in both the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. Eric Ashley Thomas (December 1, 1973 – December 30, 2022) was an American hurdler who represented his native country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He set his personal best (47.94) in the men's 400 m hurdles event on June 13, 2000, in Rome, Italy. Sir Eric Jackson Thomas FMedSci (24 March 1953 – 10 November 2023) was an English academic who was vice-chancellor of the University of Bristol from 2001 to 2015. From 2003 to 2007, he was chair of the Worldwide Universities Network and was the president of Universities UK from 2011 to 2013. Education and career Thomas graduated in medicine from the Newcastle in 1976. He trained as an obstetrician and gynaecologist and worked at both the universities of Sheffield and Newcastle. He obtained an MD-by-thesis in 1987 via his research into endometriosis. In 1991, he was appointed professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Southampton, becoming head of the School of Medicine in 1995 and dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Biological Sciences in 1998. Erik Thomas (born January 16, 1995) is an Argentine basketball player for Astros de Jalisco of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). He played college basketball for the University of New Orleans, where in 2017 he was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year. Thomas was born in Paraná, Entre Ríos to an American professional basketball player and an Argentine mother. He starred at Wesley Chapel High School in Florida, where he was named the state Class A Player of the Year as a senior. He was lightly-recruited due to his small size for a power forward and a torn ligament in his ankle, so he opted for junior college, enrolling first at East Georgia State College and then at Baton Rouge Community College.
