Enrique Iglesias
Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler (; born 8 May 1975) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He started his recording career in the mid-1990s on the Mexican label Fonovisa where he released three Spanish albums ''Enrique Iglesias'', '' Vivir'' and '' Cosas del Amor'' becoming the bestselling Spanish-language act of the decade. By the turn of the millennium, he made a successful crossover into the mainstream English-language market. He signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US$68 million with Interscope Records releasing a string of hit English albums such as ''Enrique'', ''Escape'', '' 7'' and ''Insomniac''. During this time he also released Spanish albums such as '' Quizás'' and '' 95/08 Éxitos'' under Universal Music Latin. ''Cosas del Amor'' () is the third Spanish studio album recorded by Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias, It was released by Fonovisa on 22 September 1998 (see 1998 in music). The album was produced again by Spanish songwriter and record producer Rafael Pérez-Botija, taking a more mature direction on the production of the album, departing from the pop rock ballads of his first two albums and focusing on Latin pop arrangements similar to the likes of Luis Miguel. Release and reception In 1999, the album received a nomination for Best Latin Pop Performance at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards, losing to '' Vuelve'' by Ricky Martin. ''Quizás'' (English: ''Perhaps'') is the sixth studio album and fourth full-Spanish-language album by Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias. The album was released by Universal Music Latino on 17 September 2002. ''Quizás'' was Iglesias first album in Spanish in four years, his last being '' Cosas del Amor'' in 1998. This was also his last full-length Spanish album of his career as his next albums would be English and bilingual exclusively. The album has a fragile and delicate sound compared to his previous three Spanish albums, which were based on pop songs with light rock instrumentation and consists mainly of middle of the road Latin pop ballads. ''Insomniac'' is the eighth studio album, and fourth English-language album, released by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias. The album is the first of Iglesias's English releases since '' 7'' (2003), which was deemed a commercial failure. ''Insomniac'' contains Iglesias' first collaboration with a rapper - Lil Wayne - on the song " Push," as well as a cover of indie rock band Ringside's "Tired of Being Sorry".
