ENHYPEN
Enhypen (; ; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab. Formerly a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation, the group was formed through the 2020 survival competition show '' I-Land''. The group consists of seven members: Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki. They debuted on November 30, 2020, with the extended play (EP) '' Border: Day One''. Name The name Enhypen was introduced during the live broadcast of the final episode of '' I-Land''. Etymologically, the group derives their name from the hyphen symbol (-), representing "Connection, Discovery, & Growth". Similar to how a hyphen connects different words to create new meanings, Enhypen aims "to come together to connect, discover and grow together to form a new act". Ni-Ki
, known professionally as Ni-Ki (, ), is a Japanese singer and dancer based in South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Enhypen under Belift Lab, formed through the reality survival show '' I-Land'' in 2020. Career 2014–2019: Early life and pre-debut activities In 2014, Ni-Ki passed the commercial audition, and appeared in a commercial for Sony DVD players in the same year. On July 25, 2015, Ni-Ki appeared as "Riki Jackson" in the Japanese TV show ''FNS 27hour TV''. In 2016, Ni-Ki appeared in The Weeknd's " Can't Feel My Face" Japanese music video. He appeared at a Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra concert and danced to "Paradise Has No Border". In the same year, he appeared in Legend Tokyo Chapter 5 as a dancer to 'Michael Jackson Legend Tribute' choreographed by Travis Payne. Sunghoon (singer, Born 2002)
Park Sung-hoon (; born December 8, 2002), known mononymously as Sunghoon, is a South Korean singer and former figure skater. He competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020; while simultaneously being a K-pop trainee since 2018. He retired from the sport and debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band Enhypen in November 2020. Sunghoon is the 2016–2017 junior silver medalist and the 2015 novice gold medalist of Asian Figure Skating Trophy, and the 2015 novice gold medalist of Lombardia Trophy. He also won silver medals at the 2013 novice competition and the 2014 junior competition of South Korean Figure Skating Championships. Music Network (acronym of the Mnet) is a South Korean pay television music channel owned by CJ ENM Entertainment Division. The CJ E&M Center Studio located in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul is the headquarters, broadcast and recording centre of many Mnet programs with a studio audience, namely the live weekly music show '' M Countdown''. I-Land
''I-Land'' (; stylised in all caps) is a South Korean boy group reality competition series produced by Mnet and organized by Belift Lab, which at the time of airing was a joint venture between entertainment companies CJ ENM and HYBE. Twenty-three male trainees participated in the show, of which seven were selected to debut as Enhypen in the show's finale on September 18, 2020. The winning contestants were Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Ni-Ki, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Sunoo; the first six members were decided by global ranking, and the seventh by producer's choice. A second season, ''I-Land 2'', was expected to premiere in the first half of 2022 featuring female trainees; however, on July 15, 2022, it was announced that it would be postponed.
