Endre or Endri (died after 1235) was a Hungarian noble in the first half of the 13th century, who served as vice-palatine in 1235. Career He appears in the dignity () in 1235, when King Béla IV ascended the Hungarian throne. His name appears only once, in a charter issued by himself in that year. He succeeded Peter Köbölkúti in that position, who is mentioned in this capacity in the previous year. In the document, Endre ruled in a lawsuit between Nicholas, Urban and Martin, sons of Alexander from Gic (progenitors of the influential Ghyczy family) and inhabitants of Románd (including their head Aignan, all of them were the subjects of the Diocese of Győr) regarding lands in the latter place, ordering a joust between inexperienced duelists. Endre Ady (Hungarian: ''diósadi Ady András Endre,'' archaic English: Andrew Ady; 22 November 1877 – 27 January 1919) was a turn-of-the-century Hungarian poet and journalist. Endre Kabos (5 November 1906 – 4 November 1944) was a Hungarian sabre fencer. He competed individually and with the team at the 1932 and 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics and won three gold and one bronze medals. In the fall of 1935, the Nazi regime in Germany had passed the anti-Semitic Nuremberg laws which stripped German Jews of citizenship, opportunities to receive a public education, and access to many professions and public facilities including municipal hospitals. Endre from the kindred Németi (; ) was a Hungarian nobleman in the 13th century, who served as ''ispán'' of Valkó County in 1240. Career Endre (or Hendre) was born into ''gens'' (clan) Németi, which possessed lands in southern Transdanubia. His parentage is unknown. He is the earliest known member of the clan. He was appointed ''ispán'' of Valkó County sometime after 1234. He is mentioned in this office only in 1240. In that year, Martin, the son of the late Batiz Negol sued Endre's father-in-law Bökény (Büken) regarding the estates Heyreh and Luder, claiming that Bökény lost these estates of his family, in spite of the guarantee given earlier. Endre Szemerédi (; born August 21, 1940) is a Hungarian-American mathematician and computer scientist, working in the field of combinatorics and theoretical computer science. He has been the State of New Jersey Professor of computer science at Rutgers University since 1986. He also holds a professor emeritus status at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
