In aviation, an en-route chart is an aeronautical chart that guides pilots flying under instrument flight rules (IFR) during the en-route phase of flight. Overview An en-route (also known as en route or enroute) chart provides detailed information useful for instrument flight, including information on radionavigation aids (navaids) such as VORs and NDBs, navigational fixes (waypoints and intersections), standard airways, airport locations, minimum altitudes, and so on. Information not directly relevant to instrument navigation, such as visual landmarks and terrain features, is not included. En-route charts are divided into high and low versions, with information on airways and navaids for high- and low-altitude flight, respectively. The division between low altitude and high altitude is usually defined as the altitude that marks transition to flight levels (in the United States, this is taken to be 18,000 feet MSL by convention). enRoute was a credit card issued by Air Canada until 1992, when the airline sold its credit card division to Diners Club. The card was developed only for Air Canada transactions, but over time, the card was expanded into a more general credit card for business travellers, being accepted by hotels, restaurants, and other merchants. It offered such features as in depth transaction details and sorting of expenses by category. In 1989, enRoute card became the first credit card to earn its cardholders Aeroplan miles with their purchases. In 1992, Air Canada sold the million enRoute card business to Diners Club. The move gave enRoute cardholders access to the existing Diners Club network of 2.1 million merchants at the time, while earning existing Diners Club Canada cardholders Aeroplan miles. The magazine has offices in both Montreal, Quebec. and Toronto, Ontario. The Air Canada enRoute Film Festival was an annual film festival of short films hosted by Air Canada and its in-flight magazine '' enRoute''. Films are shown as in-flight entertainment as well as screened theatrically in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Background The festival began in 2007. The festival had a different jury each year consisting of film industry professionals including famous actors, writers, directors and producers. The festival's purpose was to generate exposure for emerging filmmakers. ''En Route'' is the fourth full-length album released by German electronic music duo of Dieter Moebius and Conny Plank. It was actually the fifth and final album recorded before Plank's death in 1987. ''En Route'' was recorded in 1986 at Conny's Studio outside of Cologne. As Plank's health deteriorated the recordings were left incomplete. The album was completed and mixed by Moebius & Gebhard. The 11th through 13th tracks on the CD are remixes by Manu Guiot done in 1995. It was released by the Dubuque, Iowa-based Curious Music label in 1995. The Sonic Curiosity review of ''En Route'' describes the album, in part: "...rhythmic and wrought with weird sounds and insectoid chitterings. ..Less frantic than their earlier work, "En Route" qualifies the quirky melodies with a seriousness, endowing the weirdness with a sedate charm.
