''Empire'' is a 2006 Utopian and dystopian fiction, dystopian novel by American writer Orson Scott Card. It tells the story of a possible Second American Civil War, this time between the Right-wing politics, Right wing and Left-wing politics, Left wing in the near future. It is the first of the two books in The Empire duet, the ''Empire'' duet, followed by ''Hidden Empire'' with the video game ''Shadow Complex'' bridging the two. Orson Scott Card
Orson Scott Card (born August 24, 1951) is an American writer known best for his science fiction works. , he is the only person to have won a Hugo Award for Best Novel, Hugo Award and a Nebula Award for Best Novel, Nebula Award in List of joint winners of the Hugo and Nebula awards, consecutive years, winning both awards for his novel ''Ender's Game'' (1985) and its sequel ''Speaker for the Dead'' (1986). Holland Tunnel
The Holland Tunnel is a vehicular tunnel under the Hudson River that connects Hudson Square and Lower Manhattan in New York City in the east to Jersey City, New Jersey, in the west. Mecha
In science fiction, or mechs are giant robots or machines, typically depicted as piloted, humanoid walking vehicles.
