''Empathogen'' is the sixth studio album by American singer Willow. It was released through Three Six Zero and Gamma on May 3, 2024. Release and promotion Willow released the song " Symptom of Life" on March 12, 2024. A music video directed by the artist herself accompanied the song's release. Willow announced ''Empathogen'' on April 11, with a scheduled release date of May 3. Alongside the announcement, she released the second single " Big Feelings", which also featured a self-directed music video. On May 1, NPR Music featured Willow in a Tiny Desk Concert ahead of the album's release, where she performed "Symptom of Life", "Big Feelings", and another track from the album, "Run!". ''Empathogen'' was released on May 3, through Three Six Zero and Gamma. A deluxe edition titled ''Ceremonial Contrafact'' was released on September 27, with three additional tracks. Willow Smith (born October 31, 2000), also known mononymously as Willow, is an American singer, actress and dancer. The daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, she has received various accolades, including a Young Artist Award, an NAACP Image Award, a BET Award, and nominations for two Daytime Emmy Awards, a Grammy Award, and a MTV Video Music Award. Joseph J. LaPorta (born January 19, 1980) is an American mastering engineer at Sterling Sound in Edgewater, New Jersey. Career LaPorta was born in New York and grew up there; he graduated from New York University with a bachelor's degree in music technology. He began his mastering career at The Lodge and then joined Sterling Sound in 2013 as a senior engineer. He has worked with artists including David Bowie, The Weeknd, Future, Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend, FKA Twigs, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Tiesto, Imagine Dragons, Shawn Mendes, Fleet Foxes, Bon Jovi, Kid Cudi, 21 Savage, Run the Jewels, Young Thug, Gunna, Twenty One Pilots, Beach House, and others. In addition to mastering, LaPorta also works as a music consultant on forensic musicology/copyright infringement cases.
