Emotion Remixed
''Emotion Remixed +'' (stylized as ''E•MO•TION REMIXED +'', symbol read as "plus") is the second remix album by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, released through Universal Music Japan on March 18, 2016. In the vein of '' Kiss: the Remix'', both Japan exclusives, ''Emotion'' ''Remixed +'' compiles eight remixes of singles released from her third studio album ''Emotion'' (2015), and two new tracks: " First Time" and "Fever". The compilation features contributions by Bleachers, the Knocks and a cohort of collaborators from her ''Emotion'' sessions. "First Time" was given a limited promotional release. The new songs were subsequently included on Jepsen's companion release '' Emotion: Side B'' (2016); and were given a second Japanese release through the country's exclusive reissue of the EP in 2017. Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly Rae Jepsen (born November 21, 1985) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. After studying musical theatre for most of her school life and while in university, Jepsen garnered mainstream attention after placing third on the fifth season of '' Canadian Idol'' in 2007. In 2008, Jepsen released her folk-influenced debut studio album ''Tug of War'' in Canada before it was internationally released in 2011. Jepsen's breakthrough came in 2012 with her acclaimed single " Call Me Maybe", which was declared the best-selling single of that year, sold over 18 million copies, reached number one in more than 19 countries, and led to major record deals with Schoolboy Records and Interscope Records. Jepsen's sophomore studio album, ''Kiss'', was released later that year and included the single " Good Time" with Owl City; both charted in the top ten in Canada and the United States. "Run Away with Me" is a song by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen. It was released as the second single from her third studio album ''Emotion (Carly Rae Jepsen album), Emotion'' on July 17, 2015, by Universal Music Group. The song was written by Jepsen, Mattman & Robin (credited as Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson), Jonnali Parmenius, Oscar Holter, and Shellback (record producer), Shellback. Produced by Mattman & Robin and Shellback, "Run Away with Me" is a dance-pop and synth-pop tune with an upbeat production containing a Distortion (music), distorted, Reverberation, reverbed saxophone riff. "Run Away with Me" was accompanied by a Do it yourself, DIY music video filmed by Jepsen's then-partner David Kalani Larkins in Paris, Tokyo and New York City, which also premiered in July 2015.
