''Eminium spiculatum'' is a species of plant in the family Araceae. Description Perennial. Corm thick, globular. Leaves petiolate; petiole sheathing, often purplish. Limbs shorter than petioles, those of the first shoots regular, the others decomposed into secondary limbs issued at the base with one fitting into the other. Spathe with a tube equal to the lamina. The outer part of both has light background with numerous brown veins; the inner part of the lamina blackish brown or purplish, granulated. Appendix black, short. Flowering March–May. Biarum
''Biarum'' is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. It is composed of plants that are native to the Middle East, southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Balkans), and North Africa. ''Biarum'' are often found growing in rock crevices and graveled soil composed largely of limestone. The leaves of ''Biarum'' can be similar to grass or even oval. Their corms are spherical and the plants as a whole tend to be small. Many ''Biarum'' are quite similar in appearance to ''Arums.'' To flower ''Biarum'' required a dry rest period during summer. Their inflorescence tend to grow close to the ground and produce an extremely intense and unpleasant odor. The fruits produced tend to be camouflaged so as to resemble stones. Helicodiceros
''Helicodiceros muscivorus'', the dead horse arum lily, is an ornamental plant native to Corsica, Sardinia and the Balearic Islands. It is the only species in the genus ''Helicodiceros''. Within the family Araceae the plant is part of the subfamily Aroideae. The flowers of ''H. muscivorus'' smell like rotting meat, attracting carrion-seeking blow flies which act as pollinators. One of a rare group of thermogenic plants, the dead horse arum can raise its temperature by thermogenesis.
