An embroidered patch, also known as a cloth badge, is a piece of embroidery which is created by using a fabric backing and Thread (yarn), thread. The art of making embroidered patches is an old tradition and was done by hand. 1st Infantry Division (United States)
The 1st Infantry Division (1ID) is a combined arms division of the United States Army, and is the oldest continuously serving division in the Regular Army. It has seen continuous service since its organization in 1917 during World War I. It was officially nicknamed "The Big Red One" (abbreviated "BRO") after its shoulder patch and is also nicknamed "The Fighting First". Lion Brothers Company Building (also referred to as the Globe building) is a historic factory located at 875 Hollins St, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. It is a multi-level building that once housed the operations of the Lion Brothers embroidery company. The original building was constructed in 1885 and expanded several times over the subsequent 75 years.
