1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame Image resolution, resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. Shant TV (Armenian: Շանթ հեռուստատեսություն) is a private television broadcasting company in Armenia. Shant TV was founded by Arthur Yezekyan in Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia, in 1994. Shant TV launched a full 6 hour broadcasting schedule in May 1995. History The station was founded at a time of hunger for information programs and social tension in the country.
