''Eleven'' is a collaboration album by the Jeff Lorber Fusion and Mike Stern, released on September 27, 2019. The album was produced by both Lorber and Jimmy Haslip. Background Stern and Lorber first crossed paths in the early 1980s when Jeff Lorber Fusion opened for Miles Davis's band, which then featured Stern on guitar. The collaborative effort was initiated by Haslip, who also contributed bass and production work to the album. Haslip had previously collaborated with Stern on a Yellowjackets album and had also worked with Lorber on different projects in the past. On the collaboration with Lorber, Stern said that the opportunity to work with him presented an opportunity to work with someone with a different musical background. Jeffrey H. Lorber (born November 4, 1952) is an American keyboardist, composer, and record producer. Bob Franceschini (born 1961) is an American jazz saxophonist and instrumentalist, songwriter, and arranger. He has appeared on more than eighty albums including those of Mike Stern, Paul Simon, and Willie Colón. Franceschini grew up in Manhattan and started playing music at a young age, he began playing professionally as early as 17-18 with Tito Puente and now tours worldwide with the Mike Stern Band, Willie Colón, Dennis Chambers and the Victor Wooten Trio, as well as many others. Vincent Peter Colaiuta (born February 5, 1956) is an American drummer known for his technical mastery who has worked as a session musician in many genres.
