Electoral District Of Keilor
The Electoral district of Keilor was a metropolitan electorate approximately 15 kilometres north-west of Melbourne, Australia in Victoria's Legislative Assembly. The Keilor District covered an area of 70 square kilometres, including the suburbs of Hillside, Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Hill and Sydenham and parts of the suburbs of Caroline Springs, Keilor and Plumpton. It was abolished in 2014 and replaced by Sydenham. Natalie Maree Hutchins (''née'' Sykes, born 9 March 1972), also known as Natalie Sykes-Hutchins, is an Australian politician. Keilor, Victoria
Keilor () is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Brimbank and Hume local government areas. Keilor recorded a population of 5,906 at the 2021 census. Whilst most of the suburb is contained within the City of Brimbank, the northern section of Keilor, north of the Calder Freeway, is within the City of Hume. This section of the suburb is located on the flood plain of the Maribyrnong River, and is home to many market gardens. The suburb is mainly residential with large industrial developments in adjacent suburbs. 2010 Victorian State Election
The 2010 Victorian state election, held on Saturday, 27 November 2010, was for the 57th Parliament of Victoria. The election was to elect all 88 members of the Legislative Assembly and all 40 members of the Legislative Council. The incumbent centre-left Labor Party government, led by John Brumby, was defeated by the centre-right Liberal/ National Coalition opposition, led by Ted Baillieu. The election gave the Coalition a one-seat majority in both houses of parliament. Voting is compulsory in Victoria. George Seitz (politician)
George Seitz (29 September 1941 – 5 June 2015) was an Australian Labor Party politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly in Victoria. Seitz migrated to Australia with his family in 1956, and became a member of the Labor Party (ALP) in 1971. A teacher at St. Albans Technical School, in 1982, he was elected to represent the Keilor electorate. He served as Labor's whip while the party was in Opposition during the 1990s. On 13 May 2006, ''The Age'' newspaper in Melbourne published two articles alleging that Seitz had been involved in branch stacking within his electorate, using the proceeds of community bingo games and a rental apartment to pay for memberships to the Labor Party. Jack Ginifer
John Joseph "Jack" Ginifer (31 August 1927 – 9 July 1982) was an Australian politician. Ginifer was born in Warracknabeal, Victoria to Joseph Ginifer, a Singer sewing machine salesman from England, and Agnes Harper. He was educated at schools in Benalla, then undertook teacher training at Melbourne Teachers' College and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. He worked as a schoolteacher for more than twenty years from 1945 to 1966, including at Jamieson St Primary School in Warrnambool. Ginifer was active in local government politics, serving as a councillor in the Williamstown City Council (1955–1957) and the Shire of Altona (1960–1969).
