El Farolito is an amateur soccer club based out of San Francisco, California. It currently plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), generally considered the fourth tier of U.S. Soccer, within the Golden Gate Conference. Boxer Stadium (also known as Matthew J. Boxer Stadium) is a soccer stadium in San Francisco, California. Located in Balboa Park, the stadium has a capacity of 3,500. The 2020 National Premier Soccer League season was part of the 108th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 18th season of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Miami FC, the defending league champions, left in the off-season and joined the National Independent Soccer Association and later the USL Championship. On March 26, the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes from 2019 Multiple changes were made to the league's conferences ahead of the season. The Northeast Region was renamed to the "East Region." International Portland Select Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Portland, Oregon playing in the National Premier Soccer League. History In late 2013, the NPSL announced Spartans Futbol Club as an expansion team ahead of the 2014 season in the then-newly created Northwest Conference. The rest of the conference was made up of Gorge FC, Inter United FC, and Seattle Sporting FC. The 2018 National Premier Soccer League season was part of the 106th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 16th season of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Elm City Express was the defending champion. The 2018 NPSL champion qualifies to play for the 2019 Hank Steinbrecher Cup organized by the United States Adult Soccer Association.
