Elsa Ehrich
Else Lieschen Frida "Elsa" Ehrich (8 March 1914 – 26 October 1948) was a German convicted war criminal who acted as a female camp guard in Nazi concentration camps, including at Kraków-Płaszów and the Majdanek concentration camp during World War II. She was tried in Lublin, Poland at the Majdanek Trials and sentenced to death for war crimes. Ehrich was hanged on 26 October 1948. She was an ''Oberaufseherin'' of the women's section at Majdanek, and took active part in all the major selections to the gas chambers and executions. She maltreated prisoners, including children. Her assistant was Hermine Braunsteiner, who was later denaturalized and deported from the United States back to Germany. Early life Ehrich was born in Bredereiche to an Evangelical family. After her baptism at St.-Martin-Church Bredereiche, her name was misspelled as "Elsa" in the church registry. She finished ''Volksschule'' and worked in a slaughterhouse as a teenager. Ehrich & Graetz
The Ehrich & Graetz metalworks was a factory established in 1866 in Berlin by Albert Graetz (1831–1901) and the tradesman Emil Ehrich (died 1887) under the name "Lampen-Fabrik Ehrich & Graetz OHG" (E&G). The logo of the firm was two seahorse-looking dragons with a sun between them, and the firm's initials of E&G. The brand is now owned by Nokia of Finland. Ehrich & Graetz factory In the beginning kerosene lamps along with burners, as well as cookers for fluid (wood alcohol, paraffin), gaseous fuels (town gas, propane, and natural gas) were made in the ''Lampen-Fabrik Ehrich & Graetz OHG'' (E&G) factory. By 1897 the firm was controlled by Albert's sons Max and Adolf Graetz. The company grew rapidly, and in 1899 a factory complex was built in the Elsenstrasse in Berlin. Hans Ehrich
Hans Ehrich (born 25 September 1942) is a Sweden, Swedish industrial designer. Together with Tom Ahlström he, in 1968, founded A&E Design, a company which Ehrich still (2022) manages. Between 1982 and 2002 he was the CEO of the sister company ''Interdesign'' in Stockholm. Internationally, he is regarded one of Sweden's leading product designers, and is referred to as the “Grand Seigneur” of Swedish industrial design. Ehrich is living in Stockholm and Berlin. Growth and education Hans Ehrich's mother was the Swedish woman Liten-Karin Sundberg, and his father the German artist Otto Ehrich, who in 1936 emigrated to Finland, where the son Hans was born in Kulosaari (currently Helsinki) in 1942.
