Ed Kelly (baseball)
Edward Leo Kelly (December 10, 1888 – November 4, 1928) was an American right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who pitched three games, all in relief, for the Boston Red Sox in 1914. Kelly pitched a total of two and one-thirds innings for the Red Sox, retiring nine of eleven total batters faced and allowing one unearned run. Kelly died in Red Lodge, Montana at the age of 39. Life and career Kelly grew up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with his seven siblings, all brothers. In 1915 at age 26, he married Margaret K. Schuster in Spokane, Washington. Subsequently, they lived in Montana and Wyoming where their five children were born. Edward Kelly (born 1946) is a contemporary English painter. He was born in Liverpool, England, in 1946. He studied at Liverpool College of Art between 1963 and 1967, during which time he studied in Italy under a John Moores Travel Scholarship. He took a Higher Diploma at Birmingham College of Art between 1967 and 1968 and taught at Chelsea College of Art from 1974 to 1996. Ned Kelly
Edward Kelly (December 185411 November 1880) was an Australian bushranger, outlaw, gang leader, bank robber and convicted police-murderer. One of the last bushrangers, he is known for wearing armour of the Kelly gang, a suit of bulletproof armour during his final shootout with the police. Kelly was born and raised in rural Colony of Victoria, Victoria, the third of eight children to Irish parents. His father, a Convicts in Australia, transported convict, died in 1866, leaving Kelly, then aged 12, as the eldest male of the household. The Kellys were a poor selection (Australian history), selector family who saw themselves as downtrodden by the squattocracy and as victims of persecution by the Victoria Police. Molly Maguires
The Molly Maguires was an Irish people, Irish 19th-century secret society active in Ireland, Liverpool, and parts of the eastern United States, best known for their activism among Irish-American and Irish diaspora, Irish immigrant coal miners in Pennsylvania. After a series of often violent conflicts, twenty suspected members of the Molly Maguires were convicted of murder and other crimes and were executed by hanging in 1877 and 1878. This history remains part of local Pennsylvania lore and the actual facts are much debated among historians. Edward Joseph Kelly (February 26, 1890 – April 21, 1956) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Boise in Idaho from 1927 until his death in 1956. Biography Early years Kelly was born on February 26, 1890, in The Dalles, Oregon, the third of five children of James Leo and Henrietta (née Wakefield) Kelly. He received his early education at St. Mary's Academy in The Dalles, and classical studies at Columbia University in Portland. Kelly began his studies for the priesthood at St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, California, and proceeded to the Pontifical North American College and Propaganda University in Rome. Edward Wendall Kelly (December 27, 1880 – 1964) was an American bishop of the Methodist Church, elected in 1944. Kelly was born in Mexia, Texas on December 27, 1880. He was ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South in 1917. Prior to his election to the episcopacy, he served as a pastor in places such as Texas, Detroit, Michigan, and St. Louis, Missouri. Edward I
Edward I (17/18 June 1239 – 7 July 1307), also known as Edward Longshanks and the Hammer of the Scots (Latin: Malleus Scotorum), was King of England from 1272 to 1307. Concurrently, he was Lord of Ireland, and from 1254 to 1306 ruled Gascony as Duke of Aquitaine in his capacity as a vassal of the French king. Before his accession to the throne, he was commonly referred to as the Lord Edward. The eldest son of Henry III, Edward was involved from an early age in the political intrigues of his father's reign.
