English Schools Penang boasts of a good system of education stretching back to the early days of the British administration. Wawasan Open University, abbreviated as WOU, is a private university located in Penang, Malaysia that provides working adults with access to higher education via open distance learning (ODL). It was established in 2006 and enrolled its first batch of students in 2007. The MARA Technological University ( Malay: ''Universiti Teknologi MARA''; Jawi: اونيۏرسيتي تيكنولوڬي مارا; abbr. UiTM) is a public university based primarily in Shah Alam, Selangor. Tenby Schools Penang is an international school in Penang, Malaysia, and part of the Tenby International School family.
