Eclipso
Eclipso () is a supervillain in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Bob Haney and Lee Elias, the character first appeared in '' House of Secrets'' #61 (August 1963). The character bears notable similarities to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Eclipso is a powerful magical entity often portrayed as a primordial manifestation of divine wrath, believed to be linked to the wrath of God. Comparable to the Spectre, Eclipso is considered an Angel of Vengeance. Following his removal from his original position, Eclipso is sometimes associated with the Lords of Chaos as their agent. In the New 52 continuity onward, it is revealed that Eclipso occasionally reincarnates into different lives. Stargirl (TV Series)
''DC's Stargirl'', or simply ''Stargirl'', is an American superhero television series created by Geoff Johns that premiered on streaming service DC Universe. It is based on the DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore, created by Johns and Lee Moder. The series follows high school student Courtney Whitmore who discovers the cosmic staff originally wielded by Starman and becomes the inspiration for a new generation of superheroes who become the new incarnation of the Justice Society of America. DC Universe ordered the series in July 2018. ''Countdown'', also known as ''Countdown to Final Crisis'' for its last 24 issues based on the cover, was a comic book Limited series (comics), limited series published by DC Comics. It debuted on May 9, 2007, directly following the conclusion of the last issue of ''52 (comics), 52''. The series is written primarily by Paul Dini, along with a rotating team of writers and artists. ''Countdown'' consists of 51 issues, numbered in reverse and published weekly for one year. The series covers much of the fictional DC Universe, told in parallel narratives through the interconnecting stories of a cast of characters. It frequently crosses over with List of DC Comics publications (K–O), other DC titles. Jean Loring is a character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, formerly associated with the Atom (Ray Palmer), Atom, for whom she was a supporting character and primary love interest. Lee Elias
Lee Elias (May 21, 1920 – April 8, 1998) was a British- American comics artist. He was best known for his work on the '' Black Cat'' comic book published by Harvey Comics in the 1940s. Biography Emigrating to the United States from Manchester, England, when he was a boy, Elias studied art at the Cooper Union and the Art Students League of New York. He started working in comics in 1943 at Fiction House, where his work included features such as "Captain Wings" in '' Wing Comics'', on which he succeeded Bob Lubbers, as well as the Western hero Firehair. After leaving Fiction House in 1946, he worked for several different comics companies, including Timely Comics, Hillman Periodicals, and National/DC where he worked on such characters as the Flash, Tommy Tomorrow, and Black Canary. Robert Gilbert Haney, Jr. (March 15, 1926 – November 25, 2004) was an American comic book writer, best known for his work for DC Comics. He co-created the Teen Titans as well as characters such as Lance Bruner, Metamorpho, Eclipso, Cain, and the Super-Sons. Biography Early life and career Haney grew up in Philadelphia, where he read popular newspaper comic strips such as '' Prince Valiant'' and '' Flash Gordon'', and was a regular listener of radio dramas. Obsidian (Todd James Rice) is a superhero published by DC Comics. He first appeared in ''All-Star Squadron'' #25 (September 1983), and was created by Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway. He is the son of Alan Scott and Rose Canton and the twin brother of Jade. According to an ''Infinity, Inc.'' letter page, Obsidian was named "Todd" after a friend of Thomas. Mordru, also known as Mordru the Merciless, is a supervillain featured in American comic books published by DC Comics.
