Easy To Get
''Easy to Get'' is a lost 1920 American silent comedy film starring Marguerite Clark and Harrison Ford. It was produced by Famous Players–Lasky and released through Paramount Pictures. ''Easy to Get'' was filmed at Loon Lake, Adirondack Mountains. Plot As described in a film magazine, Milly (Clark) and Bob Morehouse (Ford) board the train for their honeymoon immediately after the wedding ceremony. Bob meets an old friend in the smoking car. The old friend makes several well meant but poorly timed remarks concerning Bob's early successes with the fair sex which are overheard by the bride. Milly promptly drops off the train at a country crossroad and makes her way with difficulty and divers adventures to a nearby summer resort. Bob follows frantically, having numerous adventures of his own, until they reconcile and a happy ending results. Walter Edwards (director)
Walter Edwards (January 8, 1870 – April 12, 1920), was an Americans, American director, screenwriter and actor. He directed 46 films during his career. Edwards initially worked at the Elitch Theatre as a director in 1896, but he later returned for multiple seasons as an actor in the Summer stock theatre, summer stock cast. "In 1896, Mrs. Elitch signed J. H. Huntley to direct a resident stock company... After six weeks of melodrama, however, and a few unsatisfactory notices, the organization of the company was changed. Huntley, who was not very popular with audiences or with newspaper reviewers, was replaced by Walter Edwards." On July 12, 1896, Edwards started as director and his first play was J. K. Tillotson, J. Rod La Rocque
Roderick Ross La Rocque (November 29, 1898 – October 15, 1969) was an American actor. Biography La Rocque was born in Chicago, Illinois to Edmund La Rocque and Ann (née Rice) La Rocque. His father was of French-Canadian descent and his mother was of Irish descent. He began appearing in stock theater at the age of seven and eventually ended up at the Essanay Studios as a teenager in Chicago where he found steady work until the studios closed. He then moved to New York City and worked on the stage until he was noticed by Samuel Goldwyn who took him to Hollywood. Over the next two decades, he appeared in films and made the transition to sound films. In 1927, he married Hungarian actress Vilma Bánky in a lavish, highly publicized wedding. They were married until his death in 1969. The couple had no children. He retired from movies in 1941 and became a real estate broker.
