Tammi (company)
Tammi, also known as Kustannusyhtiö Tammi and Tammi Publishers, is a Finnish publishing company established in 1943 by an initiative of Väinö Tanner, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Finland. In 1996, the company was bought by the Bonnier Group, and, as of the early 2000s, it was the third largest book publisher in Finland. In 2018, the company was merged into the Finnish book publishing company Werner Söderström Osakeyhtiö (WSOY). Tammi was formerly known as Kustannusosakeyhtiö Tammi. Its series ''Keltainen kirjasto'' (Yellow library), published since 1954, specialises in "quality literature", including books by many recipients of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Jukka Tammi
Jukka Vilho Tapani Tammi (born April 10, 1962 in Tampere, Finland), nicknamed "Taisto", is a retired Finnish ice hockey goaltender. Tammi is one of the few Finnish ice hockey players to have three or more Olympic medals. He was the "Ironman" of the Finnish SM-liiga, awarded to the player who plays the most consecutive games, and has been inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame. Although Tammi was a top Finnish goaltender, he was never drafted by an NHL team. Career Finland Tammi started his career in the 1980-1981 season when he played for the Tampereen Ilves A-Junior team. Tammi also dressed for three SM-Liiga games, but he did not play until the following year when he played in four games. Tammi Musumeci (born July 8, 1994) is an American submission grappler and black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor. A multiple times world champion in colored belts, Musumeci is a black belt world champion, a five-time No-Gi world champion and a two-time Pan American champion. Tammi Øst (born 1 October 1958) is a Danish actress. Øst was born in Copenhagen, and was trained at the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in 1982. In 1988 she played the leading role of Katinka in Max von Sydow's Katinka (film), film of the same name. From 1990 to 1997 she worked at the Det Kongelige Teater, Royal Theatre and received the Order of the Dannebrog, Dannebrog in 1996. Tammi Piermarini (born May 2, 1967 in Newburyport, Massachusetts) is an American thoroughbred horse racing jockey. Career Piermarini began riding at Suffolk Downs in East Boston, Massachusetts in 1985, under her maiden name, Tammi Campbell. She finished fourth in her first race and won her second aboard Go Darby And Joan on August 30, 1985. In 2012, she became the third-leading female rider of all time, with 2,139 career wins.
